CASE STUDY CHALLENGE CSC #71

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my dear crafty friends.  The dawn of a new year is so exciting with the promise of good things to come.  It is like a clean slate in many ways; you can look at what you accomplished, or didn’t, in the previous year and set new expectations for the new year!

I have been dieting and lost 20 pounds in 2011!!!! Now, I was very skinny most of my life, but after having children that changed.  I am now in my 50’s and decided that it is time to get rid of this extra weight once and for all! My goal is to lose another 20 pounds this year. I know you are thinking that is not a lot for an entire year, but I had success this year and I plan to just do the same thing in 2012 with some added exercise.

So between working diligently to get the weight off, I will be crafting as usual! I now have 6 months of blogging under my belt and I am beginning to get the hang of this.  I know I am not the most interesting blogger, but I do enjoy sharing my crafts with you all.

As for crafts, it is time to show you my new card that I am entering in the Case Study CSC#71 challenge…..

CSC 71

…and here is the inspiration

I am sooooo excited to be using some of my new Rubber Stamp Tapestry stamps.  I got lots of them during December and look forward to showing them off to everyone!

This card features the gorgeous Pansy and Daisy Wreath Set.  It also features RST’s  "Sisters" Block Stamp (1" x 1.5")  and "Forever" Block Stamp (1" x 1.5") for the sentiment.

The cute little 6 petal puff stitch flower is one I crocheted from the instructions by Tara Murray located here.

You know when you are making cards, some work and some don’t. And sometimes, you just come away with something that just clicked and you love. Well this is one of those cards for me. I had a hard time getting the colors just right in the pictures, but it really just worked!

Complete instructions are listed below, so if you want all the details, please scroll down.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my card today and will leave comments before you leave! Thanks for stopping by….
