CAS THANKSGIVING

***This is my second post for today. Please scroll down or click here to see the first one.***

I’m just popping in quickly to share my Happy Thanksgiving card that I made for the Less is More challenge this week.

This was a sketch challenge that I wanted to try.  I used my Darice Argyle embossing folder to emboss the two end squares. The center one was made using Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg stamps and the masking technique. What do you think?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Today, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Crafting for all Seasons and the theme is Falling Leaves.  I decided although today is Halloween, I would just do a fall themed card with some fallen leaves and chose Doodle Pantry’s Harvest Bounty COLOR.

I used a bunch of scrap paper on this card and love the way it all went together.  After printing the image (and the sentiment ) from Harvest Bounty, I cut it out with the SB Classic Circles and mounted on a Lacey Circle.  The pretty flourish medallion is from Memory Box.

Be sure to go over to Crafting for all Seasons and join in with their challenge. OH, don’t forget to use a Doodle Pantry image and you can participate in our challenge too!

CAS-UAL FRIDAYS CFC76

I am popping in to show you my CAS-ual Fridays submission, but first, my thoughts and prayers are with our friends up North who are in harms way today. The videos and pictures coming out in the news are very sobering and terrifying this morning. I just hope people heeded the warnings and evacuated when they were asked to leave.  Please pray for everyone in the path of this storm.

I had already finished this card when my new stamps from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps arrived, so I will be back with another card, this time for the Less is More challenge and will use my new stamps for that!

OK. Enough talk, let’s check out the card!

The challenge at CAS-ual Fridays is to create something using Kraft, so I used Kraft as my background and embossed it with my new Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The gorgeous Hydrangea stamp is from Inspired by Stamping and the best part is, it is FREE with your $50 or more purchase!!!! I colored it with my Copics and then cut it out using my Spellbinders. The sentiment is also from IBS.

INSPIRED BY STAMPING INSPIRATION PHOTO CHALLENGE

Hi! I am so happy you stopped by and I wish I could offer you a cup of coffee, tea, or whatever, but since we are virtual, please get the treat of your choice and take a moment to relax as you see my card!

Today’s card is based on Inspired by Stamping’s beautiful inspiration photo and Joanna challenged us to use a gold/silver/blue color combo.  Now, I just happen to love that combination of colors and immediately thought of making this card.  I hope you enjoy!

The silver and gold papers are specialty papers from American Crafts, the light blue is from DCWV.  The two embossed panels were made using white cardstock and first sprayed with blue Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.  I then embossed the larger panel with an Inkadinkado flourish background stamp and silver embossing powder and used DI around the edges. I then sprayed again with the blue and added gold Glimmer Mist.  The smaller panel is embossed with Christmas ornaments from Rubber Stamp Tapestry and a mixture of silver and gold embossing powders. The edge is punched with a Martha Stewart border punch, as is the light blue panel. The silver snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart punch and the ribbon & lace are from RRR.

The main stamp is called Halloween Magic from Stampendous. I just love to color her to fit the season and this time she is an ice princess lol. She is colored with Copics and Gelly Roll pens. Lastly, I fussy cut her and attached her over the blue embossed panel.
