CASE-ing CHRISTMAS!!!!

Hello dear blogging buddies! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Now, to ring in the New Year with style my sweet friend Mynn Kitchen is starting a brand new challenge blog called CASE-ing Christmas, and I was asked to join the DT!  If you are like me, there are never enough cards and tags once Christmas rolls around so this year I am getting a head start and here is my first DT card for CASE-ing Christmas:

(A2; Stamps: Verve (Merry Christmas), Great Impressions (Magical Tree  - H203); Cut file: Silhouette Studio; Paper: from scrap box; EP: Inkadinkado)

Here is the card to CASE this week:

I was inspired by the colors and the sketch, so I incorporated both into my card. I changed the sentiment, the image and rotated the sketch.

CASE-ing Christmas is a holiday card making challenge blog.  Each week, a card will be offered for you to CASE.  You could choose the color scheme.  You could choose the layout.  You could choose an embellishment.  Be inspired HOWEVER you wish!  Then, make another card based on the CASE card and link it up with us!

GREAT IMPRESSIONS INSPIRATION SATURDAY

Hello to all of my Great Impressions friends and Merry Christmas! I hope you had an amazing time with family and friends! Welcome back for more inspiration from the Great Impressions store!

Today is the fourth, and last Saturday of December! Our Great Impressions December Challenge is ANYTHING WITH A GREAT IMPRESSIONS IMAGE GOES!

(A2: Stamps: Great Impressions Stamps (Dancing Penguin  - F592 and Happy Dance - D488); Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

This card is for one of my Army Mom friends! We do a lot of happy dancing in our group, so I could not resist the penguin or the sentiment! I double matted with red and green and, to add a little sparkle, I cut a snowflake out of acetate and heat embossed it with Pearlesence embossing powder.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a bit of inspiration from Great Impressions. I truly have enjoyed your comments this year and look forward to sharing inspiration with you next year.

GREAT IMPRESSIONS INSPIRATION SATURDAY

Hello to all of my Great Impressions friends! Welcome back for more inspiration from the Great Impressions store!

Today is the third Saturday of December! Santa will be here next week! YIKES!  Our Great Impressions December Challenge is underway. Our theme is ANYTHING WITH A GREAT IMPRESSIONS IMAGE GOES!

(A2: Stamps: Great Impressions Stamps (Peace, Love & Joy Rubber Stamp – E364 and Prancing Deer - E854); Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

I don’t do many silhouette stamps, but this deer looked so majestic, I just had to get it. I stamped him in front of the “moon” on a starry, snowy night and added the sentiment using foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a bit of inspiration from Great Impressions.

CIE: CHRISTMAS CAROL CHALLENGE

Hello crafty friends! Welcome back for another Cards in Envy challenge! This time the challenge is a Christmas Carol challenge. That’s right, make a card based on your favorite Christmas Carol/Song.

I know, too easy, right? My song is Jingle Bells and these Doodle Pantry ants are working as hard as they can to get ready for Christmas. Through the use of computer magic, I merged the holly swag from Seasonal Swags and just duplicated it a few times to make the “tree”. I then merged the ants hanging on a bell and moved them around so it looks like they are hanging the bells in the “tree”. Then, I opened the ants on the bell and the ants carrying a bell in Silhouette Studio so I could trace, print and cut them out. I cut several and layered them to five a little dimension to the card.

Now it is time for you to join in the fun! Here is the link for you, just remember your card must be A2 (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) size card no thicker than 1/4".

GREAT IMPRESSIONS INSPIRATION SATURDAY

Hello to all of my Great Impressions friends! Welcome back for more inspiration from the Great Impressions store!

Today is the second Saturday of December! Santa will be here before we know it! Our Great Impressions December Challenge is underway. Our theme is ANYTHING WITH A GREAT IMPRESSIONS IMAGE GOES!

(A2: Stamps: Great Impressions Stamps (Holly Winter Scene  - G352);  Cut files: Silhouette Studio)

My GI image is Holly Winter Scene – G352. I just love coloring this one! After the ink was dry, I covered the circle with Crystal Effects to give it the appearance of a little snow globe. I matted the image with a cut file from Silhouette Studio. It has Merry Christmas at the top and a loopy little border at the bottom.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a bit of inspiration from Great Impressions.

DOODLE PANTRY AND DIGI SKETCH

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge at Digi Sketch today!  I’m sure you will want to go over and play in the challenge, but first I have a little inspiration for you.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Gingerbread House Ants);  Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

Isn’t this the cutest gingerbread house? I remember one year, I made a gingerbread house with my two kids at Christmas. It was so much fun and really cute, until it fell apart about 30 minutes after we finished! Oh well, it was fun and those are the memories I cherish!

The papers, image and sentiment are all from this digi set. I manipulated the image so that it went sort of around the large circle and merged the house on the yellow paper in the set. Other than that, it is a pretty simple card.

Now it is  your turn! Get over to Digi Sketch and show us what you create!   Here is the sketch:

I hope you enjoyed my card! Thanks so much for stopping by to see what is going on at the Doodle Pantry. After leaving a comment here for me, please check out all of the awesome inspiration from our wonderfully creative Design Team!

This month, our challenge is: ANYTHING WITH A GREAT IMPRESSIONS IMAGE GOES! Here is a little something to hopefully inspire you!

I chose this sweet log cabin and colored it with Copics then stamped the sentiment. I matted it on red then blue. The base is also mounted on red with a strip of ribbon and a strip of lace. The image and sentiment were added with foam tape plus a little red bow. All of this was then mounted on a dark blue card base with white paper inside for writing a message.

GREAT IMPRESSIONS HOLIDAY TAGS WEEK

Hello to all of my Great Impressions friends! Welcome back for more inspiration from the Great Impressions store!

Today is the first Saturday of December! Have you already decorated for Christmas? I just LOVE this time of the year and am busy getting the house decorated.

This week at GI we are all doing tags with a special theme: GUESS THE CAROL!

(A2: Stamps: Great Impressions Stamps (Merry Christmas Sparkles –D378 AND Chickadee on Winter Branch - G440); Dies: Spellbinders (Ovals), Memory Box; Cut files: Silhouette Studio; Fabrics: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

I used a Silhouette Studio cut file for this tag. After cutting the tag and adding the stamped sentiment, I stamped the Chickadee twice and colored with Copics. I cut the images using two different sized ovals and then embossed them with a shimmery, clear embossing powder.

OK, my Christmas song is pretty easy to guess, but there are NO HINTS! Please go to my GI post for today and add your guess in comments!

Thanks so much for stopping by for a bit of inspiration from Great Impressions.

FFC45: JOYOUS CHRISTMAS WISHES

Hello  friends! I’m back again with a quick post for the Festive Friday challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Christmas Cactus); EF: StampinUp)

All of the papers, image and sentiment are from the Christmas Cactus set which has just been released at Doodle Pantry! For the pink layer, I dry embossed and then sanded gently. The Christmas Cactus is colored by hand with my Copics.

I just have to say the Christmas Cactus is my favorite Christmas plant! I have a huge one that has been in my family for generations! We believe the original plant would be over 100 years old now. The color is very similar to how I colored this one….oh heck, let me just show you!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

DOODLE PANTRY DECEMBER RELEASE

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! It’s December 1st, so that means it is time for the new Doodle Pantry RELEASE! You will want to check out all of the great sets this month, but let’s start with this new SVG!

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Christ Your Treasure); SVG file: Doodle Pantry (Bethlehem SVG Cut)

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Little Christmas Scriptures); SVG file: Doodle Pantry (Bethlehem SVG Cut); Die: Memory Box (clouds)

I had so much fun playing with this amazing set, I ended up making two cards! The layering is beautiful! For the first card, I chose a sentiment from the digi file Christ Your Treasure, and for the second one, I chose from the Little Christmas Scriptures set.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Snow Crocus); Cut file: Doodle Pantry (Card Cut Basics)

Yes, another card! Honestly, Laurie has such a beautiful release this month, you just have to check it out! For this card, I used the new Card Cut Basics SVG and chose the oval shape. For the image, sentiment and beautiful papers, I used Snow Crocus. Doesn’t this just scream spring? Be sure to check out the entire release by clicking here!!!

DOODLE PANTRY AND PILE IT ON

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge at Pile it on where the theme is "Sprinkle it" (use something you sprinkle onto it like glitter, flock, flower soft, microbeads, etc)! I’m sure you will want to go over and play in the challenge, but first I have a little inspiration for you.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Snow Globe Gala, Charlie Reindeer, Charlie Snowhorse);  Cut file: Poinsettia from Silhouette Studio); Dies: Spellbinders (Circles); Flower Soft (Polar White); Silver Glitter)

When I saw this snow globe, I immediately knew I had to make a Shaker Card! After merging images and the sentiment from the files shown above, I resized them all to fit the snow globe. I printed and then used Spellbinders to cut out the image, the opening for the snow globe, the frame around the globe, and 4 additional “frames” cut from corrugated cardboard to make space for the “snow”. I also used the SB circle to cut the acetate for the globe.

I sprinkled a small amount of Flower Soft and silver glitter inside the globe opening and attached the picture behind it. I love how the silver glitter sticks to the acetate giving this a frosty feel, even when the snow is at the bottom. You can see the Flower Soft in the second picture. Once the actual shaker part was done, I added the white frame, the fussy cut globe bottom and the little top.

The poinsettia was cut from card stock and vellum on my Cameo and just glued on.
Now it is  your turn! Get over to Pile it on and show us what you create!

I hope you enjoyed my card! Thanks so much for stopping by to see what is going on at the Doodle Pantry. After leaving a comment here for me, please check out all of the awesome inspiration from our wonderfully creative Design Team!

Hello crafty friends. Welcome back to my third post today for my Less is More card for this week.

(A2: Stamps: Rubber Stampede (Santa Collage), Verve (Merry Christmas)

The theme is “Jingle all the way” or anything Christmasy. I cut a rectangle mask and used the negative space and Distress Inks to create the background. VLVNovWk3: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello my dear blogging friends. Welcome back to my blog today! This second post for today is for the Viva la Verve week 3 sketch:

(A2: Stamps: Verve (Merry Christmas), StampinUp! (Gorgeous Grunge); EF; StampinUp!; Cut file: Silhouette Studio)

The sketch for this week came with an inspiration photo. Although it was white on white pumpkins, I decided to do a Christmas card. Everything is just white and Kraft card stock. I used Antique Linen DI and the Gorgeous Grunge set to make the strip of paper with the lines. The white layer is dry embossed for texture and once the strips were on the card, I added the rhinestone swirl. The poinsettias are from a Silhouette Studio cut file. I inked around the edges with Antique Linen DI.

Thanks for stopping by!
