Welcome back to my blog! Here is another Christmas card for you (are you getting in Christmas spirit yet?).

(A2; Stamps: Inspired by Stamping Christmas Greetings and Fancy Labels 4; Die: Spellbinders Labels 4, Paper Smooches; DP: MME Lost and Found Christmas)

This week, at Addicted to CAS, the code word is music. I chose some music sheet DP and cut a strip and then used a Paper Smooches to cut the curved edge for contrast. While the sentiment was still in the SB die, I sponged with DI. A little spritz of Glimmer Mist gave the bit of shine.

This card turned out to be a lot of fun to make. I don’t usually combine challenges, but these three worked perfectly for this card.

 Operation Write Home has a great sketch this week, which I used for this card. I combined that with Inspired by Stamping’s color challenge (IBSIC63) and Cards in Envy’s “For the birds” challenge. I colored the image with Copics.

YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE!

Quick post for you this afternoon. This is my second post for today so please scroll down to see what’s up at Technique Time Tuesday in my first post!

I always think of the lighthouse at Hatteras Island when I think of summer, so I hope that will count for the Addicted to CAS theme. I combined the sketch from CAS(e) This Sketch to create this card. Since I used stamps from IBS, I’m adding this to the Gallery Contest.  It is pretty simple and not much to tell you about it. I hope you like it though!

Happy Birthday

Hi sweet friends! I can’t believe another month is here AND this is the first Tuesday so that means: TECHNIQUE TIME TUESDAY!  YES! A video tutorial of another awesome technique from my very sweet friend, Mynnette!
This month’s technique is Smackin' Acetate Technique and here is my card.

(A2; Paper: MME (Follow your Heart – Be Amazing); Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Ahoy Matey) Inkadinkado (map);  Border: Paper Smooches; Dies: Spellbinders; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)
I used the technique on both the map and the ship. I think it shows up best on the map though. I used Paper Smooches border die that looks like waves of water and then used a small strip of the “negative” at the top of the card. Spellbinders are layered under the map. The ship and sentiment are popped up with foam tape.

I used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch to make this card. The black panel is dry embossed with a basket weave pattern. The tag and sentiment are from Inspired by Stamping and the butterfly is from Hero Arts.

Hi again! This is my second post so please scroll down if you want to see the first one.  This card uses the Viva la Verve sketch for this week.

I just love this VLVApr2013 sketch! All of the papers came out of my scrap bin. The floral strip that goes down the center of the pink strip is fabric tape from Inspired by Stamping.  Verve stamps and die, ribbon from RRR and some Stickles around the heart complete this layered card.

This week we have a SKETCH challenge for you and here is my card.

I decided to use one of Inspired by Stamping’s Delicate Doily stamps for the image in the circle. I stamped it on the base of the card, used a gel pen all over it, and then rubbed DI over it. This process created a beautiful shimmering image that I framed with the upper layer. The sentiment and frame are also Inspired by Stamping stamps. The ribbon is from RRR and the sentiment is cut with a SB.
