LIM148; COS22; HAPPY WINTER

Hi again! Another quick post, this time for Less is More and CAS on Sunday.

(A2; Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Winter Critters (prev. sold by CDS)); Rubber Stamp Tapestry (Winter Night Sky); EP: Inkadinkado; Paper: Neenah (Solar White), CutMates (Olive Oil))

I love it when I can combine a couple of challenges and it works! The LIM challenge is Sparkle and the COS challenge is a winter theme, so I used the new DP set, Winter Critters, and fussy cut the adorable Huskie and used a SB oval to cut the sentiment. I also used a square SB to cut the green square and rounded two corners. I then attached everything with removable double sided tape and used the snowflake from RST’s Winter Night Sky to emboss the snowflakes using blue and silver mixed. After the embossing was finished, I removed the images, added foam tape on the green square and the Huskie and attached them aligned with the snowflakes. I’m not sure if you can see it in the picture, but the snowflakes are sparkly.

Thanks for stopping by!

LIM147–SENDING HOLIDAY WISHES

Hi again my dear friends. Welcome back to my second post for today. Please scroll down to see the first one!

(A2; Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Deer Wishes) – includes image, DSP and sentiments)

The challenge at Less Is More is to made a Christmas card and include a bird. I decided to use Deer Wishes from Doodle Pantry and color it (yep, I colored both cards today!). The frame and the light blue border are made from DSPs included in the set. I just love this adorable scene! OK, time for some reading this afternoon!

Thanks for stopping by!

LIM 145: THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART

Hello dear friends. I feel very lucky to be posting today because I am having internet problems and will hopefully receive my new modem before I completely lose touch!

I hope you have already seen my first post, but if not, please scroll down to see the ones I posted this morning. This card is for the Less is More OLC challenge.

(A2; Stamps: Paper Smooches (Many Thanks), Penny Black (Love Flourish); Paper: Neenah Solar White; Ink: Ranger DI; Die: Paper Smooches Border)

Oh boy! It is OLC week at Less is More and I am learning to enjoy making these cards! For this one, I heat embossed the PB heart using a sparkly EP. I cut a mask using the PS wavy border die, then masked and used the emboss resist technique going from light to dark, ombre style. I then stamped the sentiment from PS to complete this very simple CAS card.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

LIM & CFC–OH HOW I LOVE YOU

Hello again sweeties! This card was made for two challenges, Less is More and CAS-ual Fridays.

(A2; Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays (Loving Thoughts), Inspired by Stamping (Background Basics Lines); EP: Sparkle ‘n Sprinkle (Bahama Mama – Marbled, Mojito – Marbled, Moss – Opaque))

The challenge at LIM is Dark background with a splash of colour(s) and at CFC the challenge is embossing, so this card works for both challenges. I first stamped/embossed the sentiment, then masked and added the half-flower using the marbled Bahama Mama EP. Lastly, I added the lines using the marbled Mojito and attached to the green border. The panel was then adhered to the black card base using foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Hi sweet friends. I hope you will indulge me today as I have three cards to share. First up is my card for the Less is More challenge:

(A2; Paper: Neenah (Solar White) and CutMates (Olive Oil); Stamps: There She Goes (Snowy Day); Misc: red eyelets, green twine, Copics, Perfect Pearls, Corner rounder)

I am still having so much fun with this adorable stamp set from TSG stamps! I colored with Copics and to get some shine, I added Perfect Pearls on his glasses and on the trees and ground. The chipboard sentiment was a freebie from somewhere. I added the red eyelets, threaded some twine through and tied a little bow. After rounding a couple of corners, I mounted on CutMates Olive Green and popped up with foam tape on the card base.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

For those of you who follow me, you know I have only started trying to perfect CAS this year. I love the CAS challenges because they really do challenge me to get out of my comfort zone. I had a blast making this card and I hope Chrissie finds it to be CAS enough for LIM!

(A2; Paper: Neenah (Solar White), American Crafts (Gold and Gold Glitter), Webster Pages (Botanical Christmas & Winter Fairy Tales); Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (All Year Wishes II), Hampton Art (Outlines); Die: Spellbinders (Oval); Embossing Powder: Inkadinkado (Red) Fibers: Crochet thread))

I decided to paper piece this tree and love the results! I stamped it a total of four times. I stamped the stars on the back of the AC Gold Glitter paper and fussy cut them. I fussy cut the tree panels and then fussy cut the tree itself. After gluing the panels on, I used the crochet thread and twirled five strands to make a garland to wrap around the tree. I used one strand of the same thread to attached the small star at the bottom. Last I added rhinestones. For the card, I cut the gold panel and the smaller white panel, used the SB to create the oval negative and embossed the sentiment in red. I attached the panels, popped up the tree with foam tape and then attached all to the card base using foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

TRICK OR TREAT

UPDATED 10:25:2013 - Thank you for showcasing my card at Less Is More, Chrissie and Jen!

Hi dear friends! Thank you so much for stopping by today.

(A2; Stamps: StampingUp! Gorgeous Grunge; Dies: Spellbinders Gold Rectangles One)
I have had this little set of Halloween stamps so long I no longer have any idea where I got them. The Grunge stamp is the lines and the dies created the two lines of embossed borders. I started with embossing the borders then masked them and a circle to stamp the lines. Last, I stamped the image and colored with Copics.
I hope you like it!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hi sweet friends! Another quick post today. This is for Less is More.

(A2; Stamps: Verve (Ornamental Christmas); EF: Darice (Snowflakes); Flower: Silhouette America; Paint: Twinkling H2Os (Ice) )

I love white on white so this was a fun challenge for me. I used vellum and embossed it with a Darice embossing folder. I cut the poinsettia out using my Silhouette and attached over the vellum. I used linen card stock and stitched around it, added the vellum and flower then stamped the sentiment.

I hope you like it!

(A2; Stamps:  Doodle Pantry (Poinsettia set includes images and sentiment); Paper: American Crafts (Gold Glitter); EF: StampinUp! (Poinsettia), Darice (Snowflakes; Die: Spellbinders (Circle))

Embossing adds lots of texture to this CAS card. The base is embossed with poinsettia flowers and the circle is embossed with snowflakes. I cut a frame using SB dies and framed the circle, then fussy cut the poinsettia. The circle is attached to the base using foam tape.

I hope you like it!
