BEE MINE

OK, this is my last post for today.  This one is for CASology.

(A2; Stamps: Paper Smooches (Freebie); Die: Paper Smooches (Alphawhimsey); Heart Punch: EK)

I am trying to get some Valentines made for Operation Write Home, but I am finding it very hard to get in the mood. For this one I used the Alphawhimsey dies from PS to create the sentiment and colored the bee with Copics. I popped him up with dots and placed red paper behind the sentiment panel. I attached the panel to the doily and placed on the card base. I’m still trying to decide if I like this card or not since brown is not really a color I work with a lot. Oh well, please stop by tomorrow for more cards!

Thanks for stopping by!

HAVE A LITTLE FUN TODAY

Hi sweet friends. I can’t believe it is already the first of the month and that means it is RELEASE DAY at Doodle Pantry!!!! Woo Hoo! Laurie has so much fun for us AGAIN this month! You will definitely want to check out all of the DTs creations, but first, let me show you mine!

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Igloo Fun) includes digital papers, images and sentiment; Border Punch: Martha Stewart; Button Punch: Marvy; Die: Spellbinders (Gold Rectangle One))

I used the precolored image, but I used the .png file so I could digitally color the snow and sky, and surprise (!) when I added the blue I could see the snow falling. I just love how Laurie always has all of these great details in her images. I think the only other thing that needs describing is the “button”. It is a paper button that has Stickles on it and then is coated in Crystal Effects to seal in any glitter that might want to get away. I did that so this card could go to Operation Write Home.

Here is the preview for Igloo fun:

Be sure to pop over to the Doodle Pantry blog and join in the fun this month! Want some freebies? WARMEST WISHES

Hi my sweet friends! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge at Operation Write Home this week!  Here is the card I made using the Doodle Bitty Christmas (prev. sold by CDS) set that was released this month.

(A2; Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Bitty Christmas (prev. sold by CDS)), includes outlines, papers, pre-colored images and sentiments; Border Punch: Martha Stewart)

I don’t know about you, but this makes me want a big hot chocolate! I merged the snowflakes on the tan paper and then merged the cup onto the same paper. I also merged the sentiment onto the tan paper without the snowflakes. Since this is going to Operation Write Home, and my Christmas cards have already been sent, I decided to make a winter themed card for use after Christmas.

And, just in case you don’t know, today is the LAST DAY for Doodle Pantry’s Wild West Sale!  Everything in the WESTERN & OUTDOORS category is already marked down 30% OFF!

NO COUPON NEEDED!  (But there is a $1.00 store order minimum)

Thanks for stopping by!

HATS OFF TO THE GRADUATE

OK, third card up (I told you I had a lot lol). This one is inspired by the sketch at Operation Write Home. Hope you like!

(A2; Stamps: Stamp School; Paper: Simple Stories Sn@p; Die: Silhouette America)

I just love the bright colors in this paper pack and thought it was perfect for this card. Very bold for a bold graduate! The cap and flourish were cut using my Silhouette.

ONCE UPON A TIME

Hello again sweeties! I saw the cue card at Casology was paper and I m a made this card the other day. But, I had another idea, paper dolls, so I made another card and used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch, however I am afraid it turned into a “hot mess” with all my little paper doll parts. Anyway, here it is:

(A2; Paper: Simple Stories (Sn@p!); Paper doll: Silhouette America; Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps; EF Cuttlebug)

This is going to Operation Write Home, so I wanted to include some extras for the doll. I love the sketch but I’m not so sure this sketch was the right one for this project. Oh well. I’m sure some little girl will enjoy it anyway.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

YOU ARE AMAZING

Hi again! Here is the third (and last) post for today! Please scroll down to see the other two!

This card turned out to be a lot of fun to make. I don’t usually combine challenges, but these three worked perfectly for this card.

(A2; Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Heartfelt Gratitude), Hero Arts (bird image); Lace: Inspired by Stamping; Copics)

Operation Write Home has a great sketch this week, which I used for this card. I combined that with Inspired by Stamping’s color challenge (IBSIC63) and Cards in Envy’s “For the birds” challenge. I colored the image with Copics.

JUST A CORNY HELLO

Hi dear friends! I have two posts today, with this being the first, so please stop in to see the second one as well! This card is for Operation Write Home.  I am trying to fill a box in time for the fall deadline so for this sketch I used Doodle Pantry’s Corn Field Ants.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Corn Field Ants) includes digital papers, images and sentiment; Die: Spellbinders; EF: Darice; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

For this card, I merged the sentiment on the DP. I embossed the base panel, used a square die to cut more of the DP to make a “frame” for the cute little ants eating corn. For the ribbon, I wove ribbon through jump rings, a technique I found on Pinterest  (here) which was actually for a necklace, but I like it for ribbon embellishment too. What do you think? Thanks for stopping by! Another card coming soon!

I AM THANKFUL

Hi dear crafty friends. Popping in for a quick post here on Saturday. I hope your weekend is a blast!
Here is my Mojo Monday card for this week:

(A2; Sentiment: Silhouette; Paper: Simple Stories (Sn@p); Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)
Well, I finished up another box of cards for Operation Write Home and this is one of the AnyHero cards I included. Since it will be a few weeks before anyone receives this card, I decided to switch to a fall theme. I LOVED that sketch this week! Since this is going to a deployed soldier, I thought this was a good autumn sentiment. What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by!
