SWEET BIRTHDAY WISHES

Hi sweet friends! Just popping in to share a birthday card I made for a friend.

It is hard to see in the picture, but the large white panel is embossed with a Darice EF called “Sheet Music”. The two DSPs are from a MME paper pad called In Bloom (still cannot find anything to link to).  The sentiment panel is done with an azalea peg stamp set from Rubber Stamp Tapestry and the sentiment is from Waltzingmouse. Ribbon and lace are from RRR. The sketch is from Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps blog.

TECHNIQUE TIME TUESDAY!

Woohoo it is the first Tuesday in March so that means it is Technique Time Tuesday! This month, Mynnette has a fantastic tutorial on the Brick Wall technique. It is quite fun so I hope you will join us and share your creation!

Also, we have some new Crew members this month! How exciting is that? Please pop over to see all of the fabulous creations from the Crew!

Now for my card:

The dark base was embossed and sanded using a Sizzix embossing folder. After marking out my brick grid, I stamped the “wall” using Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Autumn Blooms Set. I then cut up the wall and assembled it on card stock. Ribbon and lace from RRR and some Prima flowers complete this card.

Here is a close up of the brick wall technique. The rest of the crew has lots of awesome inspiration and don’t forget, we have several NEW crew members! Be sure to pop over and check out their creations!

SENDING YOU LOVE

Hello my crafty friends!  Just popping in for a quick post to share my CAS-ual Fridays card.  Then, I’ll be back a little later with my Technique Time Tuesday card, so be sure to check in with me later!

Well, CAS-ual Fridays theme this week is Wallpaper. I chose a stamp set from Rubber Stamp Tapestry to make my own background for this challenge.

This was so hard to photograph because the colors are so light and delicate, but I love how it turned out.  I cut the bottom of both layers using a SB Borderabilities. The tapestry stamps are from a set called Love Note, which has more stamps included in the set.  The sentiment is a block stamp from Rubber Stamp Tapestry and I used one of their templates to ink the heart shape.

BELIEVE/DREAM/PEACE

**This is my second post for today. Please scroll down to see the second one**

Hi crafty friends.  I was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch this week and made this card:

I can’t believe I made a OLC without it being a challenge theme.  I can’t decide if I like them or not. They are very clean and simple, but I always feel like I should have added more “stuff”.  Well, not too much to say about this one other than I used a set of stamps from Rubber Stamp Tapestry to create it. The set is called Believe/Dream/Peace Designer Block Prints.  There are three background stamps in the set. I used them to create the green, brown, and tan blocks. I stamped the sentiment directly on the tan block and used the floral tapestry stamps on the upper left. I then scored the bottom.

MOJO MONDAY AND A CASE

Happy Monday sweeties! I cannot believe I am actually posting my Mojo Monday card on Monday! I am finally feeling almost back to normal and had some time to play today, so I decided to have fun with one of my new stamp sets from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. I made two cards with the same stamp set hoping to show you why I love these stamps so much!

This first card is the MM card:

I went with a 4.25” square because I want to get my Operation Write Home box of cards full and that is the largest size square I can make for them.  I do love the challenge of making the MM sketch on a small card though!  I wanted a really romantic card so I chose one of my Wild Rose Studio paper packs for the backgrounds and Craftwell for the borders.  The focal image was made using Waltzingmouse Stamps Little Lanterns and then Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Love Note stamps set. The inks are all Distress Inks. I used my new Verve Pennant Trim die for the three pennants. On the right side and for the sentiment tag, I used some old pink vellum I have had forever.  The ribbon is RRR and the flower is from Inspired by Stamping.

Here is the link and sketch for the Mojo Monday 278 challenge:

Now for the second card. My friend Colleen Dietrich made the most gorgeous CAS card, I just had to case it! Let me show you her beauty first:

I just love the freshness about this card, the bright, cheerful colors and the CAS design, so here is what I came up with:

For this card, I used the exact same stamp set that I used in the Mojo Monday card above. I used different colors and although I didn’t have those yummy strawberries, I love how this turned out. To me, the fun of tapestry stamps is the versatility of design.  This new set from Rubber Stamp Tapestry is going to be among my favorites.

I am entering this card in the Addicted to CAS challenge: Code word HEART.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. Your visits always make me happy!
