SCS DARE TO GET DIRTY CHALLENGE

Hello to all my crafty friends.  This post is a little different for me, but hopefully it will work out.  I have been playing with the girls at Splitcoaststampers this week in the Dare to get Dirty challenge and boy has it kept me extremely busy! I am still behind so I’ve had no time for talking and sharing with all of you. So I am popping in to show you some of the cards I have been making and leave you a link to my gallery at SCS in case you are interested in seeing more.

Here are some examples of what is going on there this week:

A little Christmas in July with Memory Box Winterland Tree, Heartfelt Creations embossed pines and Inspired by Stamping.

Watercolor beach scene using Distress inks and Perfect Pearls. Sentiment is Verve.

A little play time with paper scraps and Doodle Pantry image and sentiment. Ribbons are Really Reasonable Ribbon and butterfly is StampinUp!.

New stamps from Inspired by Stamping, ZVA Creatives bling, Prima flowers, Martha Stewart border punch, lace, Liquid Pearls, and more scraps.

I am entering the yellow Hello card above in the Really Reasonable Challenge #53 Bling and Ribbon   .

There are lots more, but I will leave it to you to go here if you would like to see them all!

I also made these for:
Mynnette’s Spread the L-O-V-E challenge:

LESS IS MORE AND DARE TO GET DIRTY

Hi and thank you for stopping by my blog today! I am playing with Less is More again today and something NEW FOR ME!! I am playing with the Dirty Dozen at Splitcoaststampers in the Dare To Get Dirty challenge.

I knew I wanted to do a white-on-white card with this new Inkadinado Christmas stamp and when I saw the sketch at Less is More, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

I had an extremely hard time photographing this card, but I LOVE how it turned out! What do you think of that wreath? I have to give credit to Kittie Caracciolo (Kittie Kraft) for that gorgeous wreath. Her tutorial is here and I know I’ll be making more of these! Kittie, if you ever see this post, thank you so much for such a wonderful tutorial.

Here is a close up of the embossed deer.  It is so hard to show in the photo, but it is very pretty on the card!

I used my score board to score two lines over the top of the panel, added two borders at the bottom and ran a ribbon across.  I stamped JOY in the lower right corner and heat embossed it to keep the entire card white.

Supply list for this card:

After finishing the white-on-white, I wanted to try another version using wheat and white.  I like it too but I think I like the all white better.  I used a different foliage punch for the wreath and added tiny punched flowers. The edge at the bottom is still MS but a different punch, and a punch at the top of the white strip.  I added 4 randomly placed “snowflakes” and stamped JOY in wheat.

Supply list for this card:

I hope you enjoyed your visit.

INSPIRATION CHALLENGE AT SCS

Well, I was browsing through the challenges at Splitcoaststampers and saw that IC342 was a cute web store called My Sweet Muffin.  It didn’t take me long to find my inspiration for this card!

I saw the picture (below) with the framed butterflies and knew I was going to make this card.  I used the EK Success stacking butterfly punch for the two dimensional butterflies and framed them with a Spellbinders Fleur di Lis rectangle.  The butterflies outside of the frame are stamped with VersaMagic  Pink Petunia and Pixie Dust.  A Verve sentiment and Really Reasonable Ribbon complete this simple card.

Still trying to cram in as many cards as possible before shipping my box to Operation Write Home*! I hope you enjoyed checking it out!  I’ll be back with more soon Open-mouthed smile

THIS CARD QUALIFIES FOR:

IC342 ~ My Sweet Muffin

I also made this card for:
