WHEW TIME TO CATCH OUR BREATH!

Hello all my sweet friends! I sincerely hope you had a fantastic Christmas with your family and friends. We had a wonderful time and I had WAY too much to eat, but I enjoyed every minute of it.

Today, I wanted to switch gears and share a card with you that uses quilling, and is not a holiday themed card!

To make the left panel, I used Distress Ink on an acrylic block and sprayed with water. I love the light pastel look it gave the paper. The right panel is embossed with an embossing folder and the two panels are mounted on purple cardstock and stitched around the edge. I then mounted the entire panel on pink cardstock.  A pretty ribbon and double bow was added down the middle and then I added my quilled flowers and vine.

If your weather is as bad as mine is today, I hope this card brings you a little ray of spring sunshine.

A CAS MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas to all! I saved a CAS card for today and hope you enjoy it. This was such a simple card and it did take less than 10 minutes! I don’t have a stopwatch but it took about 9 minutes total.

I just love this Merry Christmas stamp! I added stockings to the M and C and a little poinsettia sprig in the corner all from Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Holiday Stockings set.  I mounted the white panel on red metallic paper and wrapped the panel in Peppermint Baker’s Twine.

I do hope you have a lovely Christmas filled with love, laughter and cheer!

WITH SYMPATHY

I just had to get some craft time! I knew I couldn’t go the full time my son is home without making cards LOL. He is visiting friends so I took advantage and played with paper.

I got some money for my birthday and an early Christmas present, so I finally got some Paper Smooches stamps I have been wishing for.  This card is for the current Paper Smooches color challenge and uses the Sentiment Sampler stamp set. I also used the Just Add Ink sketch.

So what do you think? Are the colors too bright for a sympathy card? I used the sketch from Just Add Ink and really love the look. The flower adds just the right finishing touch I think.

Thanks for stopping by!
