CASology

Am I the only person who can’t seem to catch up and get back in the routine with the new year? I have barely had time to craft and that makes me unhappy.

Well, you can see I am barely getting this card in on time, but that is just how my week has been. This is for the CASology cue card NEW, so I have used my new stamp from Technique Tuesday and new ribbon from RRR.

This was really hard to photograph. I used Distress Ink starting with dark purple at the bottom and ending with a light color at the top but instead of appearing blended like it looked in real life, it looks blotchy. Oh well.

ANYTHING GOES AT PAPER SMOOCHES

****If you missed my first post today, you can click here to go straight to it. Or, you can scroll down after seeing this one! ****

Happy Saturday! Today was absolutely gorgeous here in North Carolina; a little cool but so sunny and pretty. It was a great day for taking short walks and getting fresh air.

I have been making birthday cards for deployed soldiers, and so far all have been masculine. I made this one and decided it either needs to be for a child or female so I am going to send it to Operation Write Home for a soldier to send back home.

This week is ANYTHING GOES at Pampered Pooch so I am submitting this card for the challenge. I find myself moving to cleaner designs lately, and this is just another example of it. I am having trouble getting to actual CAS, but I believe this is part of the evolution LOL. I stamped the little zebra (who I absolutely adore!) and masked him to create the foliage background. I cut the Spellbinder and used the negative space to frame the image and then make a matching SB frame in green. The bottom is an embossing folder with some old ric-rak that has been in my stash for a while.

Thanks for stopping by!

BIRTHDAY CARDS FOR DEPLOYED SOLDIERS

Hi sweet friends! I am so sorry I have not been posting this week, but it has been so incredibly busy here! I did find an afternoon to crunch out some quick birthday cards for deployed soldiers, so I thought I would share them today.

Although I am still making cards for Operation Write Home, I am going to send cards to deployed soldiers too! This month all birthdays are for men, so I had the opportunity to work on making masculine cards. Well, at least I think they are masculine. My DH said they are a female’s version of masculine LOL.  All of them are made completely with scraps from my scrap paper bin and use Paper Smooches stamps. Of course I have Spellbinders on them, some use embossing folders and most have Distress ink.  They almost all have some hardware simply because I don’t know what else to use to embellish a masculine card.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these and will visit again! Have a great weekend!
