THANK YOU

It is CASE week at Inkspirational! I was truly inspired by all of the entries to our Photo Inspiration challenge last week.  This week we have a beautiful card for you to CASE.

I was inspired by the pretty flower panel and decided to use A Day For Daisies’ (who just happens to be our awesome sponsor this month!) Lily and make my own. I colored it with COPICS and cut out some petals and popped them up to add dimension to the flowers. I used Taylored Expressions border die to create the pink borders and embossed the green panels. The flower panel is flush with the base panel and the two side panels are popped up.

HUGGLES

**This is my second post for today. Please click here to see the first one or scroll down after seeing this one.**

I have a Gold Star Mom friend who I knew could use a hug across the miles, so I made this card for her. I used Chupa’s awesome sketch here

The sweet bunny and papers are from Doodle Pantry’s Big Hug Bunny, and the sentiment is one I made on my computer.

I also made these to send to her. I recently started studying Yulia Brodskaya’s quilling style and made these for my friend. I thought I would share them here to see what y’all think.

Obviously I have a long way to go to resemble Yula’s stunning illustrations, but I do like how these turned out and my friend loved them. What do you think? Should I keep working on this?

MASCULINE BIRTHDAY

Happy Saturday, even if it is rainy, foggy and generally depressing (ugh).  I have not had enough crafting time so far this year, but I plan to remedy that today. I thought it was going to be gawgeous and it is still supposed to get warm, but for now I think I’ll be staying inside for a while.

I did get a chance to make a card for Mojo Monday and here it is:

This is another masculine birthday card that is going to a deployed soldier. I embossed the base panel and then used Ranger Distress Inks to distress/age it. It started out a very pale yellow (almost the color in the top right. I also stamped and embossed a panel with the Inkadinkado numbers stamp and then distressed it with DI too. I cut that apart to make the top left panel, the square and the sentiment, which is stamped with Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Happy Birthday to You.  Some scrap DSP was used for the other two panels. Tiny black brads went on the ends of the strip and the corners and a piece of RRR behind a button finish this one.

Thanks for stopping by to see my card. I hope you have a beautiful day!
