MOJO MONDAY AND A CASE

Happy Monday sweeties! I cannot believe I am actually posting my Mojo Monday card on Monday! I am finally feeling almost back to normal and had some time to play today, so I decided to have fun with one of my new stamp sets from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. I made two cards with the same stamp set hoping to show you why I love these stamps so much!

This first card is the MM card:

I went with a 4.25” square because I want to get my Operation Write Home box of cards full and that is the largest size square I can make for them.  I do love the challenge of making the MM sketch on a small card though!  I wanted a really romantic card so I chose one of my Wild Rose Studio paper packs for the backgrounds and Craftwell for the borders.  The focal image was made using Waltzingmouse Stamps Little Lanterns and then Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Love Note stamps set. The inks are all Distress Inks. I used my new Verve Pennant Trim die for the three pennants. On the right side and for the sentiment tag, I used some old pink vellum I have had forever.  The ribbon is RRR and the flower is from Inspired by Stamping.

Now for the second card. My friend Colleen Dietrich made the most gorgeous CAS card, I just had to case it! Let me show you her beauty first:

 

I just love the freshness about this card, the bright, cheerful colors and the CAS design, so here is what I came up with:

For this card, I used the exact same stamp set that I used in the Mojo Monday card above. I used different colors and although I didn’t have those yummy strawberries, I love how this turned out. To me, the fun of tapestry stamps is the versatility of design.  This new set from Rubber Stamp Tapestry is going to be among my favorites.

WHAT WOULD I DO WITHOUT YOU?

Hi friends! Just dropping in with a quick post today to share a CAS card with you.  I wanted to make a love card, but not necessarily a Valentine, so hopefully this works.

I used papers from my scrap pile to make this card and dry embossed the main panel. Two Sizzlits hearts were used to cut the white horizontal panel which was then popped up with foam tape over the red panel. The small pink heart was also cut with the Sizzlits and popped up over the larger cut. Three tiny pink pearls go down the center of the heart.  The sentiment is from my new CAS-ual Fridays set.

NEW HOME

Hi sweet friends! I have been so afraid you all thought I stopped blogging. I am finally getting back to normal thanks to some great meds from my doctor!

Today I have a somewhat CAS card for you:

I just adore this cute image from Tiddly Inks and knew I had to use it for a card for my DD and DSiL who just moved into a new house.  I colored with Copics and mounted on red cardstock. I used a Paper Smooches sentiment and punched the bottom of the white layer with a Martha Stewart border punch. I am entering this card at the Just Add Ink and CAS-ual Fridays challenges (links below).

I also quilled something for them which I promptly shipped off without getting a good photo. Anyway, here is a picture (from my cell phone LOL) that I took when I was getting this framed.

And, this is a picture of it all framed and on her wall (grabbed it from FB LOL). I know they are not the clearest pictures, but hopefully you get the idea.
