PATRIOTIC BIRTHDAY

**Third post of the day….please scroll down to see others**

Hello again! I think this will be my last post for today. I have been super busy making cards this week and have so much to share.

This time, I was inspired by the fabulous Teri Anderson card at Case Study (photo below).  Her bold colors and prints inspired me to make this birthday card that will be going to a deployed soldier.

I have almost used up this pack of paper and I really wish I knew where it came from. I would love to get more of it! I saw the stars and polka dots on Teri’s card and decided to use the big, bold polka dotted paper instead of the smaller dots.  Instead of the checkered background, I went with chevrons. The sentiment and red tag are from Paper Smooches. The star is from Heidi Swapp and the ribbon is from RRR.

BELIEVE/DREAM/PEACE

**This is my second post for today. Please scroll down to see the second one**

Hi crafty friends.  I was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch this week and made this card:

I can’t believe I made a OLC without it being a challenge theme.  I can’t decide if I like them or not. They are very clean and simple, but I always feel like I should have added more “stuff”.  Well, not too much to say about this one other than I used a set of stamps from Rubber Stamp Tapestry to create it. The set is called Believe/Dream/Peace Designer Block Prints.  There are three background stamps in the set. I used them to create the green, brown, and tan blocks. I stamped the sentiment directly on the tan block and used the floral tapestry stamps on the upper left. I then scored the bottom.

SOME-BUNNY IS THINKING OF YOU

I am barely getting this card posted on time for Freshly Made Sketches. I wanted to use one of Doodle Pantry’s newly colored stamp sets and this sketch was perfect for it.  Here is the card:

I love making cards for Operation Write Home and I make so many cards, I usually opt for pre-colored images. When Laurie colorized the Bunny Wabbit this month, I knew it would be perfect for OWH.  Isn’t that the cutest image? I hope a soldier gets to send this to his little girl!  I used the Freshly Made Sketches #75 for the design. The little flowers were a Michaels $1.00 bin surprise!
