DOODLE PANTRY AIMPDC 15

Hello again my Doodle Pantry friends! I’m back with my AIMPDC DT card. I chose Spring Critters for my card:

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Spring Critters)

I love making children’s birthday cards, so my kids need to step up and have some grandchildren for me! I drew the hexagons on the ball and colored them with Sakura Gel Pens. The rest of the image is colored with Copics.  I used a stencil and Distress Inks to create the balloons. I coated them with several layers of UTEE, cut them out and attached them to the card with foam tape. I added a bit of machine stitching to finish it off.

Thanks for visiting, and be sure to check out what the rest of our DT has for today:

Now, go create and show us what you made!

Thanks for stopping by!

I  hope you enjoyed my card and don’t forget to join our challenge AIMPDC15! Here is your link:

CIE: CHILD’S PLAY

Hello crafty friends! Welcome back for another Cards in Envy challenge! This time the challenge is “Child’s Play”: Create a card for kids.

When I was growing up I always heard the adults asking us kids if we had “ants in our pants”! Well, that is exactly why I used this as a card for a kid. I digitally paper pieced the pants and colored the ants and clothes pins with Copic markers. All of the patterned paper is included in the digital set, so I just printed and cut and added some stitching. I hope you like it!

Now it is time for you to join in the fun! Here is the link for you, just remember your card must be A2 (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) size and no thicker than 1/4".

Happy crafting everyone!

DOODLE PANTRY AND COME AND GET IT

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge at Come and Get it today!   I’m sure you will want to go over and play in the challenge, but first I have a little inspiration for you. The challenge theme is BIRTHDAY.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Lil Gorilla Jungle and Monkey Peeps)

I combined two new sets to create this card. The tree image is from Lil Gorilla Jungle, while the monkey, sentiment and papers are from Monkey Peeps. I used the light tan digital paper and merged the line art images onto it. Once printed, I colored them with Copic markers and mounted over the designer paper and darker tan.

Now it is  your turn! Get over to Come and Get it and show us what you create!

DOODLE PANTRY AND TUESDAY THROWDOWN

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown! I’m sure you will want to go over and play in the challenge, but first I have a little inspiration for you. The challenge is a color challenge and the photo is below. I chose to use Doodle Pantry’s Bitty Bat & Pumpkin set.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Bitty Bat & Pumpkin)

I used the sentiment, image and DSP from the digi set. For the focal image, I placed the bat several times on the orange background, twirling him around and making him less opaque as he got “closer”. I merged the sentiment on the same image and printed the bat a second time so I could fussy cut him and attach with foam tape. I had some old (really old) bat brads in black and silver so I added some of them and did some stitching.

Now it is  your turn! Get over to Tuesday Throwdown and show us what you create! Use a Doodle Pantry image and enter it in the Doodle Pantry Challenge for a second chance to win. Plus you will get the Featured Product (below)!

I hope you enjoyed my card! Be sure to click here to see all of the new releases for this month and join us for DPDC51!

DOODLE PANTRY & Totally Papercrafts

Hi dear Doodle Pantry friends! Totally Papercrafts new challenge is Hey Cutie (use cute images). Since Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this challenge, I made a card to inspire you!

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Moose Friends) includes digital papers, images and sentiment), Fibers: Really Reasonable Ribbon); EF: Darice; Dies: Spellbinders)
How adorable are these guys? I made the image by using the yellow solid digital paper in the set, merging the animals (the moose baby on the left was also flipped) and merging the sentiment. I used the solid green digital paper to make the frame and cut strips of two of the DP’s into various widths. I dry embossed the white base and then added the strips and piece of yellow ribbon. I distressed everything with DI to just give it a more vintage feel, added the little bow and was done.
Now, don’t forget to check out the challenge at Totally Papercrafts and join in the fun. PLUS if you use a Doodle Pantry image, you also can enter our Doodle Pantry challenge for a second chance to win!

PILE IT ON: YOU AND ICE CREAM ARE MY FAVORITE

Hello sweet friends and welcome back to my blog! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at Pile it On where the theme is Animals. Here is a fairly CAS card I made using So Sweet Mice.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (So Sweet Mice) includes digital papers, images and sentiment); Fibers: Really Reasonable Ribbon; Dies: Silhouette; EF: Darice)

I used my Silhouette Cameo and a piece of the included DSP to make the pennants. The Darice border EF added a sweet effect behind the cute mouse (I know… I did use the words cute and mouse, not only in the same sentence, but I actually used cute to describe the little critter LOL). Another strip of included DSP went below the border embossing with the sentiment over that and the little mouse popped up on foam tape. I also added three tiny pieces of chevron ribbon below the image. A few crystal rhinestones and it was all done!

Please check out the challenge at Pile it On and join in the fun!

Hugs!

SEND A SMILE 4 KIDS: YOU’RE A STAR

Hello sweet friends and welcome back to my blog! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at Send a Smile 4 Kids where the theme is Anything Goes! Here is a layered card I made using Silly Critters.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Silly Critters) includes digital papers, images and sentiment); Fibers: Really Reasonable Ribbon; Dies: Spellbinders; EF: Cuttlebug)

I have been having so much fun with CAS cards lately, but my hubby always asks why I am not making layered cards (he loves those and thinks CAS is just to simple LOL). Anyway, I decided to play with layers today and came up with this card using several Spellbinders dies and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I merged the cute skunk and the sentiment onto one of the DSP’s in the digital set.

There is still time so be sure to pop over to the Doodle Pantry blog and join in the fun with DPDC42! Here is what is in store for you:

DADDY’S LITTLE ANGEL

Hi dear friends. This week, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge at Digi Sketch where the theme is animals. Here is my card using that sweet little Birdie:

(A2; Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Angel Birdie) digital stamp set includes images & outlines, sentiments and papers)
This was a very quick and easy card, and although there is not a lot of white space, I think it is pretty CAS. I fussy cut Angel Birdie and popped him up for added depth.
Now it is time for you to pop over to Digi Sketch and join in on the fun. I hope to see you there!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

This is Handmade Cards Week at Moxie Fab World and Cath has a whole series of challenges lined up for us! This card is for Handmade Cards Week: The Ready-Made Embellishments Challenge. If you follow my blog you know I don’t use a lot of ready-made embellishment, but I decided to give it a go. This card uses seven of them:

(A2; Sentiment: American Crafts Mini Marks rub-on transfer; Digital Paper: Doodle Pantry; Embellies: Jolee’s Boutique Dimensional Sticker [balloons and paper squiggles], K&Company Berry Sweet Grand Adhesions [owl, ladybug and heart)
I always find it hard to use these premade embellishments and this was no exception. I drew and cut out the arrow and applied the rub-on. I liked the way the black border helped pop the face of the card, so I used that and a deep yellowish orange to mat the DP. Maybe OK for a little girl’s birthday?
Thanks for stopping by!

JUST BE YOU

Hello and happy Saturday my sweeties. I have a cutie for you today!

(5x5; Dies: Silhouette America; Stamp: Technique Tuesday; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

This week is Anything Goes at Addicted to Stamps and More, so I am submitting my little honey bee card. The green background is the wax paper resist technique with DI used for sponging. Three of the hexagons have vellum behind them to give them a “closed” look. The little bee has some Stickles on her wings to make them glimmer.

Thanks for stopping by!

YOU’RE #1 IN MY BOOK

Happy Saturday! This is a quick post to share my CAS card for CAS-ual Fridays.

(A2; Sentiment: Made on my computer; Bookworm: Silhouette; Die: Spellbinders)

OK, how cute is he? I saw him on the Silhouette site and just had to have him. This is a really simple CAS card, but I think it will be cute for an Operation Write Home card.

I hope you enjoyed! Have a great Saturday and thanks for stopping by!
