TCC11: HAVE A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello sweet friends! This is my second post for today with a card for The Card Concept challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Black Eyed Susan); Copics)

For this card, I digitally added the flowers by copying and pasting and resizing to get the look I wanted. I then merged the sentiment with the flowers and printed. The Black Eyed Susans are colored with Copics. A few enamel dots and a little bee from Jolee’s complete the panel which was then attached to a black border.

This is where I could use your help! I don’t know if this is considered “Clean and Simple” or “Clean and Layered”. What do you think?

TCC10: WHAT’S THE BUZZ

Happy, happy Sunday! The buzz is something I have to wait to tell, but I am excited!

The challenge at The Card Concept is coffee……yummmmm, I LOVE coffee, so this was a fun one! Paper Smooches is Anything Goes this week, so I am sharing there too. Here is my card:

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Cyber CafĂ©); Dies: Paper Smooches (Alphawhimsy); Burlap paper: DCWV)

I kept thinking of how coffee beans ship in those burlap sacks and wanted to incorporate that look into my card. I also see a lot of coffee shops that use relaxing colors and pulled from that inspiration. I just used the die set to cut the letters on black card stock and used the negative. I stamped the coffee beans similar to what I have seen on the sacks and then added the mug just for fun. The sentiment is stamped over a coffee cup stain and attached with a brad. I hope you like my card!

CTS74; TCC9: JUST A NOTE TO SAY I LOVE YOU

Happy Monday! Was your weekend amazing? I'm so happy that our weather has become perfect. I just wish it could stay this way.

Today, I have two cards to share, so I'll be back with a second post. This card is for this week's CAS(e) This Sketch and The Card Concept.

(A2: Stamps:  Verve (Take Note); Die: Paper Smooches (Border dies))

I was intrigued by the CTS sketch this week and thought I might be able to work with the PS border die to come up with an approximation of the sketch. After cutting and gluing the monochromatic sweep across the card, I added a flower from my stash and the Verve sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.

TCC7: JUST A NOTE….

Happy Sunday my dear friends! I hope your weekend is going well and you are crafting away; I know I have taken advantage of it and done a lot of crafting. I have a couple of cards to share now; this first one is for The Card Concept challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Hero Arts: (butterflies, sentiment and punched butterflies); Dies: Sizzix; DP: Graphic 45 (Ladies Diary))

The theme this week is to use butterflies. I chose to use watercolor paper to stamp the Hero Arts butterflies and then watercolored them. After the panel dried, I added butterflies that were stamped and die cut from the Graphic 45 paper. I added some dark grey card stock under them to create dimension, plus I added foam tape under the large one.. This panel was layered with Elan Metallics Chocolate card stock and CutMates White Flour.

Thanks for stopping by.

FMS127; TCC5: HELLO

Hi sweeties! Happy Friday to you! I have a quick post to share my card for Freshly Made Sketches and The Card Concept.

(A2: Cut files: Paper Smooches (Salutations), Designs by Ryn (Water Droplets), HA/Sizzix (Butterfly stamp/die set); Die: Spellbinders (leaves))

I combined the sketch at FMS with the color challenge at TCC and used a collage style to create this card. I heat embossed the butterfly with moss green EP and finished off the card with a few rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by.

TCC4: LOVE YOU

Hi again. This is my second post for today, so please scroll down to see the first one. This card is for The Card Concept challenge.

(A2; Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Hydrangea – includes image and solid digital papers), (Heart for God Sentiments); Designer Paper: Wild Rose Studio (Letters from France); Border Punch: Martha Stewart; Dies: Inspired by Stamping, Spellbinders; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon

The theme for this challenge is Floral. I have been wanting to color this hydrangea from Doodle Pantry, so I first merged the flower and the solid green digital paper. I then resized the flower and copy and pasted it twice. I merged the Love You sentiment onto the solid pink digital paper. I then printed the digis and colored the flowers with my Copics. I used dies to cut the image and sentiment out and used the border punch on the two pieces of DSP.  A little bow and some crystal rhinestones finish it off. I think this fits the Clean and Layered style.

I hope you enjoyed!

TCC3: YOU MAKE ME HAPPY

Hello dear bloggers.  I can’t believe it is hump day again! The weeks just fly by and the older I get the faster they go. Thankfully I am still able to fit in time for card making! This one is for The Card Concept:

(A2: Stamps: Stampin’UP! (Gorgeous Grunge, Perfect Pennants) Die: Silhouette)

The theme is Monochromatic Pink, so this is a very pink card lol.  A little grunge stamping, a multi-layer paper flower and a stamped sentiment complete this very simple card. Once again I am using the Clean and Layered style.

Thanks for stopping by. Here is a link to the challenge in case you want to share in the fun.

hugs!

FMS118; TCC1: GOD IS OUR REFUGE….

Hi again! I have another card to share with you today, so hopefully you have already seen the one posted this morning. If not, please just scroll down. This one was made using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch and the colors at The Card Concept (a new challenge blog).

(A2; Stamps: Verve (Psalm 46:1); DSP: Wild Rose Studio (Vintage Rose); Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon; Dies: Spellbinders)

The challenge at The Card Concept is a color challenge to use Kraft, Pink, Vanilla and Espresso. I got as close to those colors as I could. And while I have been doing a lot of CAS lately, I still tend to enjoy the Clean and Layered style. The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches lends itself to this style perfectly!

Thanks for stopping by!
