BIBLE JOURNAL 18

Hello blogging friends! here is my Bible Journal for this week:

“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.” (Psalm 103:1 KJV)

This week I decided to use a beautiful  stamp from Verve Stamps “Good Work” set. Then I used Zentangle patterns to decorate the page. The patterns I used are Knights Bridge, Phicops, Fescu, Puf Leaf and a variation on Shasta.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Please take a second to let me you were here!

Have a blessed day!

BIBLE JOURNAL 11

Hello blogging friends!  This week, I am back with another Bible journal entry.

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life..” Psalms 143:8 (NIV)

This one did not turn out like I wanted it to. I used a beautiful stamp set from Verve called Good Work and heat embossed the verse in white. I planned to air brush around it to make it show up, but I just could not get it right. I finally used pencils to try to make it dark enough to read. So this is a lesson in what NOT to do!! LOL. Have a great day!

Hello everyone! Just popping in to share my card for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge for this week.

(A2: Stamps: Verve (Coffee);  Die cuts: Verve (Coffee) and Spellbinders)

I wasn’t sure if I was going to get my Mojo Monday card posted in time this week, but here it is. I used Copic markers to color the coffee cup and grey ink to stamp the steam. I added a bit of machine stitching and a small heart to finish it off.  I  hope you enjoyed my card!

MM429

Hello everyone! Just popping in to share my card for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge for this week.

(A2: Stamps: Verve (Psalm 46:1; Hero Arts (butterflies); Stencil: The Crafter’s Workshop; Die cuts: Spellbinders)

I decided I would made my own paper designs for this card, rather than using DSP. The base panel is stenciled using Distress Ink and the butterfly panel was made using a HA butterfly stamp, masking and more DI. I used spellbinders to make the sentiment tag and stamped a Verve Bible verse onit. I added a flower and some enamel dots and a spiral paper clip. I  hope you enjoyed my card!

VLVNovemberWk1: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello dear blogging friends!. Popping in with my Viva la Verve card for this week. This is the one for the VLV  November Week 1 sketch.

(A2; Stamps: Verve (I think this was a freebie); DSP: MME; Die cut: Cameo

I pretty much followed the sketch, but instead of a bow, I made an ornament out of regular white card stock then heat embossed with red glitter EP several times. I added some DSP and vellum behind it and added a bit of gold Stickles. I used a punch to make the greenery and enamel dots for the berries. I hope you like the results!

MM422: A VINTAGE CHRISTMAS CARD

Hello everyone! It has been a while since I made a vintage style card, so today I decided to play with one to enter into the Mojo Monday sketch challenge for this week.

(A2: Stamps: Verve (Ornamental Christmas); DSP: MME Vintage Christmas

I am really getting into Christmas cards and projects now. In fact, I have been so busy quilling I have not made as many cards lately. So, I needed some card time today and I had vintage stuck in my head. I did burn the right side of the pieces and distressed them with DI. I used two different greens and two different EP to make the greenery. First I punched them out, then heat embossed them and then added a bit of Stickles. I hope you enjoyed my card!

VLVAugWk2: ANOTHER BIRTHDAY

Hello again friends. Popping in with my Viva la Verve card for this week. This is the one for the VLV  August Week 2 sketch.

(A2; Stamps: Great Impressions (Hound Dog and Another Birthday); DP: SN@P; Dies: Verve (Rounded Scallop Frame Die), Spellbinders and Lil Inkers

I wanted a humorous birthday card that could be for a male or female. I kept the colors more towards masculine but still had some polka dots and chevron patterns. I colored the hound dog with Copic markers and added some bling from Verve. I hope you like it!

MM409: CONTEST WEEK

Hello everyone! Today’s cute card is made with Verve stamps using the Mojo Monday sketch for this week.

(A2: Stamps: Verve (Santa’s Helper); EF: Darice)

I decided to make a Christmas card with this week’s sketch and use non-traditional colors. I still have a few bits of this blue paper, and I cannot remember where it came from, but it worked for this card. I used the snowy EF from Darice for the background and colored the little bear with Copic markers. Instead of a circle, I opted for a heart to go with him. I hope you like my card!

VLVJulyWk5: SHAKER CARD

Hello again friends. Popping in with my Viva la Verve card for this week. This is the one for the VLV  July Week 5 sketch.

(A2; Stamps: Verve (Coffee);  Die: Verve (Coffee Word); DP: Prima (Madeline))

For some reason, this sketch just screamed shaker card to me! After assembling my strips of DP, I did a bit of stitching. Once that was done, I needed to cut the circle, but my Cameo didn’t want to deal with the stitching, so I just cut a circle from card stock and used my craft knife to cut the circle. I added blue and antique white seed beads into the shaker. What do you think?

VLVJulyWK4: SKETCH CHALLENGE

Hello again friends. Popping in with my Viva la Verve card for this week. This is the one for the VLV  July Week 4 sketch.

(A2; Stamps: Verve (Poinsettia Christmas), Sentiment was a free with purchase from Verve; Die: Spellbinders, EF: Sizzix)

I wanted a really elegant Christmas card so I used the beautiful poinsettia from Poinsettia Christmas, cut a mask and heat embossed the outline stamp in gold EP by using VersaMark on the center flower, masked it and continued with VM until I had all of the flowers I needed. I used a wheat colored ink to stamp the solid part and added a touch of color with Copic Markers. I dry embossed one side of the white background and the gold circle. The sentiment is from Verve, but not part of this set. It came with an order as a thank you for purchasing.

VLVJulyWK3: A BIRTHDAY CARD

Hello again friends. Popping in with my Viva la Verve card for this week. This is the one for the VLV  July Week 3 sketch.

(A2; Stamps: Verve (Take Note); DP: Heidi Swapp (Sugar Chic); Cut files: Silhouette Studio)

For this birthday card, I pretty much followed the pretty sketch. Instead of my usual flower or butterfly, I decided on this little stinker from Silhouette Studio. I thought he was adorable. Anyway, I hope you like my card!

MM406: A CHRISTMAS CARD

Hello everyone! Are you making Christmas cards now? Do you make them year round or wait and start mid year? I make them off and on all year, but I seem to be making more of them now. Today’s card is a Christmas card using the Mojo Monday sketch for this week.

(A2: Stamps: Verve (Merry Christmas sentiment), Whiff of Joy (image); DP: MME (Vintage Christmas)

I had colored this image last week and was just waiting for a card to use it on. I thought it might work with this week’s sketch. Instead of a square behind the top panel, I used a SB scalloped circle die cut. The rest is pretty much following the sketch. I tried to use this beautiful paper so small bits of Christmas showed through, such as the 25 at the bottom left and the vintage Santa image in the center. I hope you like it!

(A2; Stamps: Verve (Coffee); DP: Heidi Swapp (Sugar Chic); Cut files: Silhouette Studio)

The yellow panel is dry embossed and the blue panel was done with a stencil and embossing paste. I cut the medallion and tags on my Cameo and fussy cut the coffee cup and saucer. I hope you enjoyed my card!
