CIE; FMS135: MISSING YOU

Hello my crafty friends! I’m just popping to to share the card I made yesterday. I’ve been so busy outside, I almost forgot that I had not shared it!

I paired up two challenges for this card. Cards in Envy (THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING MY CARD LAST WEEK FOR THE FIRST CLASS MAIL SPOT!!) is looking for flowers and I loved the Freshly Made Sketches sketch, so I chose the Josephine Clematis for my flowers. The flower comes as a single in the set, but I copied and pasted and rotated to come up with the three of them. I then printed, colored with Copics and fussy cut. I love the ability to change the size of digital stamps and find I am using them more and more!

ATS93; FMS134: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello crafty friends. I hope your day is going well! Other than the storms earlier this week, our weather has been gorgeous! Also, we got a quick phone call from our soldier last night, so I'm a pretty happy girl today. I posted my Great Impressions inspiration card this morning, so if you are looking for that, please scroll down. The card I am sharing now is for the Addicted to Stamps and Freshly Made Sketches challenges.

The challenge this week is to make a card for a holiday. since I always need Christmas cards, I made another one using the FMS sketch.  I love the Penny Black poinsettia but had to cut it down for the card. I made some leaves using my Silhouette and embossed the Verve sentiment on some beautiful shimmery brown paper.

CCC19: MERRY CHRISTMAS

I am so happy I started following some Christmas card challenges. Maybe this year I won’t be bogged down at a time that I just want to have fun. Anyway, my second card for today is a Christmas card for the Christmas Card Challenge.

(A2: Stamps: Penny Black (Poinsettia), Inkadinkado (sentiment): Cut file:Silhouette (leaves); Border punch: Martha Stewart; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

This challenge was to use no patterned papers. I heat embossed the flower on vellum with a sparkly embossing powder and then fussy cut it. I cut the leaves on my Cameo and attached to the flower. I punched three borders and layered before adding the red panel. So no patterned paper but still plenty of texture and interst.

GREAT IMPRESSIONS INSPIRATION SATURDAY

Hello my dear friends! Welcome back to Great Impressions Inspiration Saturday. Today, I have a sentiment only, layered card to share with you:

(A2: Stamps: Great Impressions Stamps (Just to Let You Know Rubber Stamp – E589); Paper: Farm House (Fair Skies); Dies: Spellbinders, Taylored Expressions; Lace: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

I used an embossing die from Spellbinders (Gold Rectangles One) to create the embossed border on the base panel. The circle medallion is made up of a series of Spellbinder dies with the top circle containing the sentiment. The tiny butterfly is a die from Taylored Expressions. I finished it off with lace and mounted on a white card base.

GI FEBRUARY CHALLENGE: FLORAL IMAGES

Hello sweeties! I have news to share, in case you didn’t see it yesterday! I have been selected to be on the Great Impressions Design Team! I am so excited about this because they have an awesome DT and their stamps are just gorgeous! I look forward to sharing them with you, and here is my very first card for GI.

This card is for the February Challenge, which is to use floral images and you don’t have to use a GI stamp, but we would love to know if you do!

I just LOVE this sweet image. I combined two stamps to create the focal panel and colored the cute birdies, birdhouses and flowers with Copics. I then cut with a Spellbinders die (Romantic Rectangles) and mounted on to of some olive green card. I cut and stitched the other panels and mounted all on a white base.

TMS: THINGS IN TWO’S ARE DOUBLE THE FUN

Hello sweet friends and welcome back to my blog! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the SKETCH challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches! Here is a layered card I made using Ark of Faith.

I just love this sketch! When I saw it, I instantly knew I was going to use Ark of Faith. I just needed to change the sentiment perspective to vertical and I then printed it on vellum so the beautiful (pre-colored) image was not hidden. I used  the Spellbinders Ovals to make a frame for the sentiment and some foam tape to pop it up.

52CCCT: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello my dear blogging friends! Happy Monday and best wishes for a wonderful week! Today, I am sharing a card that I made for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown recipe challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Inkadinkado (Merry Christmas), Hampton Art (Outlines); Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon; Ink: Distress Ink: EP: Sparkle n Sprinkle)

The recipe this week is monochromatic, ribbon and a rhinestone, plus CAS. I heat embossed the lower half of the white card with snowflakes in clear EP. I then used DI and distressed in green. I also heat embossed the sentiment, this time in moss green. I added the rhinestone, ribbon, cut two corners and mounted on green card. Last, everything was mounted on a white card base.

When I saw the colors in the PS photo I instantly thought of the Bramble Rose paper. I think it is the only paper I have with that combination, and now that I have put it together, I love it. I used the Reflections leaves and Salutations sentiment stamped on paper from the same paper pack and cut with a Spellbinders. And, just to highlight the sentiment panel, I cut a piece of black paper to just fit under the little cut-outs around the square.

OWH207; CCC7; HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Hi sweeties. My little Joy is off getting groomed today, and sadly they just called to tell me they are going to have to start sedating her to groom her. She gets so nervous, it really is sad to see; and she is just such a sweetie. I love this groomer and so does Joy, but I think past groomers may have been impatient with her…..Oh well, I will craft to try to keep from worrying!

I decided to combine the OWH sketch this week with the Christmas Card Challenge which is Polka-Dots this week. I think this is some of the first Christmas paper I ever bought, but since I cut everything into 6x6 pieces and organized it in a box, it is much easier to find and use this stuff. The stamp set was designed the talented Sandy Allnock at Operation Write Home and it is a fundraiser set for OWH.

CAS-UAL FRIDAYS TAGS & BAGS

Hi sweet friends! I hope your week is off to a great start. Our weather is cool and cloudy so I am trying to do some organizing in my craft room. It seems like I just have to stop and reorganize at least once or twice a year. I am making boxes to hold my DPs, and cutting down the 12x12 sheets into 6x6s so I can put everything in these boxes. After I finish, maybe I’ll remember to take pics and share with you. Anyway, while my PC was acting up, I made several things and shared some yesterday. I am sharing the rest today.

I love my Silhouette, especially for 3D projects. I used double sided DP for this box and tag. The reindeer is popped up on foam tape.
