VLVMayWk4: YOU’RE PRETTY AMAZING

Hello again friends. Popping in with another Viva la Verve card for this month. This is the one for the VLV  May Week 4 sketch.

(A2; Stamps:CAS-ual Friday (Truth is); DSP: Heidi Swapp)

I am still loving these pastel colors. I have not used my CAS-ual Friday stamps in a while, so I decided Truth Is worked really well with this paper. What do  you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

CTS124: JUST THINKING ABOUT YOU

Hello again! I’m so happy you stopped by today to see my card for the  CAS(e) This Sketch  challenge.

CTS124_thumb

(A2; Stamps: CAS-ual Friday (Beanstalk)

To create the background, I masked off the three columns and sprayed with Glimmer Mist. Then I stamped the beanstalks using the ombre technique. To stay close to the sketch, I added a little sprig going between the first and second stalk. I finished with the stamped sentiment and added a bit of Smooch.

CTS78: YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST

Hello sweet friends! Time to start another week and get crafty. This card is for the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge:

(A2: Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays (RAD), Technique Tuesday (Simply You))

This was a very simple card to make. I just curved the border stamp from RAD and inked it with three DI’s and stamped three times along the right. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap and adhered all to a golden border.

Thanks for stopping by.

CFC130: WITH LOVE

Hello again and thanks for coming back to see my second card for today. It has been a while since I joined in at the CAS-ual Friday challenge, but I was able to find time this week! WOOHOO!

(A2: Stamps: CAS-ual Friday Stamps (Beanstalks): Die: Spellbinders (Ovals)

The challenge at CFC is to use ovals. I decided to make my own butterfly using a small oval die to cut the wings from previously made “shaving cream” background paper. I trimmed a body with antennae and added the wings after stamping the card. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by.

CFC127: MISSING YOU

Hello again sweeties! I have another quick post to share my CAS-ual Fridays card:

(A2; Stamps: Paper Smooches (Salutations), Stampin’UP! (Gorgeous Grunge); Die: Silhouette)

The theme for this challenge is Over the Edge, and I wanted to use a cut file to make a large butterfly which is mounted over the edge of the card. In order to fit an A2 envelope, I made the card 4” wide and let the butterfly overlap by 1/4”.  Since the sentiment is a Paper Smooches stamp, I am also entering this at their Anything Goes challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by today!

FMS122; ATSAM81: LITTLE CARD….BIG THANKS

Hello again! I’m so glad you popped back in today. This card is being submitted to the Freshly Made Sketches and Addicted to Stamps and More challenges.

(A2; Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays (Big Thanks), Stampin’UP! (Gorgeous Grunge); Embellishment: Heidi Swapp (star))

This card is going to a fellow Army Mom’s son! I love thanking our troops for their service, although I know from what my soldier says, they hear that a lot these days. Well, I think that is GREAT news! I am so happy people care and take the time to tell these guys and gals how much they mean to us.

I used the Freshly Made Sketch and stamped the main sentiment on the top panel. For the panel beneath, I used all of the different Thanks sentiments and just went crazy . The bottom panel is stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamps and the card is finished off with a little stitching, some blue borders and a star from the Heidi Swapp collection.

Thanks for stopping by today!

LIM156: YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST

Hello sweet friends. Today, I am sharing a card I made for the Less is More challenge. Do you like to cook and play around with recipes? You know, change ingredients or add something different to see what happens? I do that all the time, and I found myself doing that with this card.

(A2: Stamps:CAS-ual Fridays (Truth Is), Technique Tuesday (Simply You); DSP: scraps; EF: Darice; Cardstock: Neenah Solar White)

If you saw my post on Friday you saw a technique I was playing with that gives this 3D look to my flowers. I used white EP as shown in the tutorial, but all weekend I kept thinking, what if I used a EP that coordinates with the coloring, and that is how this was born. (The link to the tutorial is also in the Friday post). So with the LIM sketch in hand, I embossed the top two thirds of the card base, stamped the sentiment on a scrap of DSP and added a strip of card behind it. Then attached to the base and added the flowers. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by. Here is a link to the LIM challenge in case you want to share in the fun.

CFC126; FMS119: JUST THINKING ABOUT YOU

Hello again! Thanks for stopping by. If you missed the first post, please scroll down to see it. This one is for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge and the Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge.

(A2: Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays Stamps (Beanstalks); Die: Spellbinders: EF: Darice border EF)

The theme at CFC126 is Color Blocks, so I combined that with FMS119 to create this card. I heat embossed the green card with purple, green and clear EP and dry embossed the yellow strip. What do you think? This is very different for me!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

PS;CFC125;CTS59–LOVE

Hello dear friends. Whew! We just had a tornado warning and winds were gusting up to 86 MPH! I’m glad that is over and I can get back to crafting! I have a couple of cards I’ll post today. This one uses the sketch at CAS(e) This Sketch. I am also entering it at Paper Smooches anything goes challenge and the CAS-ual Fridays In a Word challenge.

(A2; Stamps: Paper Smooches (Flap Happy), Inspired by Stamping (Little Flower); Ink: Copics, Distress Ink; Die: Spellbinders (Square))

I don’t usually combine challenges, but this one just worked out for all three of these. In the sketch, there are two feathers sweeping down. I chose to have two butterflies instead. The blue one is colored with Copics. The background was made using the Acrylic Block technique.

Thanks for stopping by!

CFC121: L8R

Hi again sweeties! I have one more quick post for you today:

(A2; Stamps: Paper Smooches (Zoo Crew); Dies: Paper Smooches (Zoo 2); Paper Neenah, CutMates, scraps)

This is a pretty simple card, so not much to tell. I did color the leaves with Copics and die cut the gator with the new Zoo dies. He is popped up with foam dots. To meet the challenge, I used 8 leaves and I used a sentiment with 8 in it.

Thanks for stopping by!

LIM & CFC–OH HOW I LOVE YOU

Hello again sweeties! This card was made for two challenges, Less is More and CAS-ual Fridays.

(A2; Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays (Loving Thoughts), Inspired by Stamping (Background Basics Lines); EP: Sparkle ‘n Sprinkle (Bahama Mama – Marbled, Mojito – Marbled, Moss – Opaque))

The challenge at LIM is Dark background with a splash of colour(s) and at CFC the challenge is embossing, so this card works for both challenges. I first stamped/embossed the sentiment, then masked and added the half-flower using the marbled Bahama Mama EP. Lastly, I added the lines using the marbled Mojito and attached to the green border. The panel was then adhered to the black card base using foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

CAS-UAL FRIDAYS TAGS & BAGS

Hi sweet friends! I hope your week is off to a great start. Our weather is cool and cloudy so I am trying to do some organizing in my craft room. It seems like I just have to stop and reorganize at least once or twice a year. I am making boxes to hold my DPs, and cutting down the 12x12 sheets into 6x6s so I can put everything in these boxes. After I finish, maybe I’ll remember to take pics and share with you. Anyway, while my PC was acting up, I made several things and shared some yesterday. I am sharing the rest today.

(A2; Stamps: Dies: Silhouette America (box and tag); Paper: K&Co (Brenda Walton); Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

I love my Silhouette, especially for 3D projects. I used double sided DP for this box and tag. The reindeer is popped up on foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by!
