DOODLE PANTRY & LOVE TO SCRAP

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at the Love to Scrap Challenge. I’m sure you will want to go over and play in the challenge, but first I have a little inspiration for you.
(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Kid Toys)
The theme is Anything Goes! I used the new Kid Toys digital set to create the dinosaur and sentiment. The papers are from my scrap bin. To create the dinosaur, I merged and sized the crown with the dino, printed and then colored with Copic markers. I then fussy cut and cut legs in the foreground and the tail so that I could pop up everything about the dino except the legs in the background and tummy. It gave a nice 3D effect!
Now it is  your turn! Get over to Love to Scrap Challenge and show us what you create!

I  hope you enjoyed my card and don’t forget to join our challenge! Here is your link:

Thanks so much for stopping by to see what is going on at the Doodle Pantry. After leaving a comment here for me, please check out all of the awesome inspiration from our wonderfully creative Design Team!

FANCIFUL FRIDAY

Hello to all of my Great Impressions friends! It is the third Friday in March and time for my Great Impressions inspiration from the Great Impressions store!

This week, we are focusing on gift wrapping for Easter. I made a box using a cut file and added a pretty flowered purple band around it. I then added the bow and made a tag using Spellbinders and the GI stamps Dainty Butterfly and Wishing you a Happy Easter. What do you think? I think it is perfect for some Easter Egg treats!

Thanks for stopping by!

FANCIFUL FRIDAY

Hello to all of my Great Impressions friends! It is the fourth Friday in January and time for my Great Impressions inspiration from the Great Impressions store!

This week we have a special theme: Valentine Candy Wrap! Here is what I came up with:

OK! I had so much fun, I had to do two of these! I cut both of these treat boxes on my electronic cutter as well as the cute little heart on the second one. I used the GI Happy Valentines and Flowers stamp on both, stamping directly on the first box and using the heart tag for the sentiment on the second one. Now I wonder who I will give these to! LOL!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by for a bit of inspiration from Great Impressions.

52CCT: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello my dear blogging friends! It is time for another Christmas card I made for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown sketch challenge. As I am writing this post, it is snowing to beat the band! Of course here in NC we don’t get much snow, so the 3 – 4 inches that have fallen in the past couple of hours is incredible. Perfect day for making Christmas cards!

(A2: Stamps:Inkadinkado; DP: MME (Christmas))

I decided to keep this card simple to highlight the beautiful sentiment.  I think this was one of the first stamps I ever bought and I still love it. This time, I heat embossed the sentiment. I chose red, black, green and gold for my colors in this challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Here are the links to the challenges in case you want to play along!

CAS-UAL FRIDAYS TAGS & BAGS

Hi sweet friends! I hope your week is off to a great start. Our weather is cool and cloudy so I am trying to do some organizing in my craft room. It seems like I just have to stop and reorganize at least once or twice a year. I am making boxes to hold my DPs, and cutting down the 12x12 sheets into 6x6s so I can put everything in these boxes. After I finish, maybe I’ll remember to take pics and share with you. Anyway, while my PC was acting up, I made several things and shared some yesterday. I am sharing the rest today.

(A2; Stamps: Dies: Silhouette America (box and tag); Paper: K&Co (Brenda Walton); Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

I love my Silhouette, especially for 3D projects. I used double sided DP for this box and tag. The reindeer is popped up on foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by!

IN TRUE LOVE….

Happy Monday dear crafty friends!  I am continuing with Moxie Fab World’s Handmade Cards Week: The Color Media Challenge and decided to combine this color media challenge with the CAS-ual Fridays Fall colors with a leaf challenge.

(A2; Sentiment: My Favorite Things Love; Stamps/dies: Heartfelt Creations; Label and Frame: Silhouette America Sophie Gallo, Color Media: Twinkling H2Os; Paper: DCWV)
I just love this textured paper by DCWV. I’m almost out so I need to find more! I made the card base with eCraftwell CS and lined it with white CS. I cut the panel and rounded one corner and attached to base. I cut the label and frame, and then stamped the sentiment. I stamped the leaves and painted using Twinkling H2Os, then cut them using dies. I popped up the sentiment with foam tape.

AWESOME

This is the second post for today, so please scroll down for the first one.

(A2; Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays RAD; Die: Silhouette)

This was a very quick card! I printed and cut the Bugs Bunny image on my Silhouette, used the masking tape technique to make “asphalt” and heat embossed the sentiment, all on a Kraft base. I used this image for the wheels, as the theme at Less is More is Round and Round.

Thanks for stopping by!

Simon Says ..... ANYTHING GOES !

Oh YAY! I was so happy to see that Anything Goes at Simon Says this week!  I have been working on a project for weeks…you have seen some of the cards that are going into this project, but this week I am ready to reveal the rest of the project.

This is actually a gift that I made for someone special.  The cards were entered in other challenges as I was making them but this week, I have the box and gift tags that complete the project.

VickiChristmas2011_5

This is a gift box that is filled with 5 blank coordinating greeting cards, 5 coordinating envelopes and 5 coordinating gift tags.  I don’t intend to include three cards in this challenge since they were done previously, however if you would like to see them, they are on my blog here, here, here.

I do have 2 cards and the 5 tags along with this box that I can show you today!

VickiChristmas2011_7

This is a 6 x 6 x 3 box and you can see it is pretty full. VickiChristmas2011_9

There is so much going on here, I will give the highlights and then give some deets below.  The entire project is made using K & Companies’ Life’s Journey coordinating paper pack. That includes cards, tags, envelopes and box.

VickiChristmas2011_5

The crochet trim is by me. The flowers are gorgeous Prima flowers, the roses are a small sprig of artificial roses that would be used in any flower arrangement.  I just cut them from the long stems. Some tulle and a doily, both stamped with a Celadon VersaColor ink pad, and a seam binding bow complete the box.

Here are the other two cards that are included, but have not been in a challenge before today:

VickiGetWell

VickiGetWell2

Again, using K & Company’s Life’s Journey and using Inspired by Stamping’s All Year Wishes II stamp set.  If you have not seen Joanna’s stamps yet you really should check them out! They are gorgeous!!

And here are the tags:

VickiChristmas2011_2

VickiChristmas2011_3

VickiChristmas2011_4

The two gift tags have a space on the back for “To” and “From”. They are made using Spellbinders labels. I learned how to do the bottle tags, or wine tags, from Mary Fish’s tutorial (thank you Mary!!!!) And, all are decorated using Inspired by Stamping’s All Year Wishes II and Beautiful Ovals stamps.

I am so excited to have this project finished and would love to hear your opinion.  As I said, this will be a gift for someone on my list and I hope they will like it…. What do you think?

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have time to leave a comment before you leave.
