CTB BINGO

Hello sweet friends!  I am stopping in today to share my card that I am submitting to the  Bugaboo Catch the Bug challenge.  The challenge this week is BINGO and I chose the bottom row which includes Die cut,  Stitches and Sentiment:

(A2: Stamps:  Bugaboo (Mouse Candle), Paper Smooches (sentiment); Die: Spellbinders; EF: Darice)

I got this adorable digital stamp before Christmas, and once again, I am just getting around to using it.  I was fortunate to win some Bugaboo stamps last year, so I am having fun playing with them now that the holidays are over. This cute mouse is colored with Copics and die cut with a SB oval, using the Out of the Box technique. I added various types of stitches and a Paper Smooches sentiment. What do you think?

SSS SOMETHING NEW CHALLENGE

Hello sweet friends!  I am stopping in today to share my card that I am submitting to the  Simon Says Stamp challenge.  The challenge this week is Something New:

SS1_6_2016_thumb1

(A2: Stamps:  Bugaboo (Snail Mail), Paper Smooches (sentiment); Dies: Fawn Lawn; EF: Darice)

I got this adorable digital stamp before Christmas, but I am just getting around to using it. One thing I love about Christmas is getting real cards in the mail. I am old fashioned I guess, but I still love receiving cards via the mail. I colored this cutie with Copics and used a Lawn Fawn die to cut him out. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

CASology150: CONGRATULATIONS

Hi dear friends. Thanks for stopping by! Today, I am sharing my card for the CASology challenge. The theme this week is Graduation:

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Salutations); Dies: Paper Smooches (Numbers)

I used gold foil paper behind the black sentiment panel, die cut the numbers and left the negative space open. The sentiment is heat embossed in gold, and I cut a little cap on my Cameo. I just got my Gold Glam Shaker Mix from Verve and just had to add a bit!

Thanks for stopping by.

MP#69: HI

Happy Saturday everyone! Last Saturday I was at our son’s wedding, and it feels like it was yesterday! I have been trying to catch up with my card making, so today I have a card for the current Marker Pop challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Wild Rose Studio (Tilly with Rose); Die: Paper Smooches (Hello Words), Spellbinders (Romantic Rectangle)

I decided to keep this really CAS to showcase the rose. I think Tilly is adorable holding that flower! I used the PS die to cut the sentiment and let the black background show through. The image is colored with Copic markers.

Thanks so much for looking!!!

CTS98: HELLO

Hello crafty friends. I have some cards to share today, so let’s get started. This is for the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge:

(A2: Dies: Paper Smooches (Hello Words); DSP: Heidi Swapp (Sugar Chic); Cut File: Silhouette Studio

I made the flower from a Silhouette Studio cut file. I positioned the hello die across the two panels and cut. Then I cut again using the blue and placed the blue positive die cut into the negative space. I added a couple of strips of washi tape, some enamel dots and attached the two pink panels using foam tape for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by!

VLVOctWk3: A NOTE TO SAY I LOVE YOU

Hello crafty friends. I have two cards to share with you today; the first one for the Viva la Verve week 3 sketch:

(A2: Stamps: Verve (Take Note), Paper Smooches (Cyber Café), StampinUp (Gorgeous Grunge); Die: Spellbinders; Cut File: Silhouette Studio)

I used a pink and gold shimmer paper for the background and die cut hearts in the white upper panel. I then splattered bits of ink with a paintbrush and then further distressed with stamps. Since I had the white positive hearts, I stacked them and added a pink one on top to create some depth for the two solid hearts. The sentiment was made using two stamps from Take Note and stamped on a banner that I cut out on my Cameo. A few enamel dots, a heart and a flower finish this card.

Thanks for stopping by!

CASology116: YOU COLOR MY WORLD

Hi dear friends. I am sharing my CASology card for this week. The cue word is SPLATTER:

(A2: Stamps: Simon Says Stamp (BIG YOU); Dies: Paper Smooches (Alphawhimsy); Ink: Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink (Burnt Sienna, Yellow Orange, and Phthalocyanine Green)

The ink I used comes in bottles with droppers, so I used water color paper, held a dropper of each color up high above the paper and let it splatter onto the paper. Then, I held up the paper to let the colors run. The YOU stamp is from SSS, the COLOR is cut using the PS Alphawhimsy dies from the same ink on water color paper. I made the last part of the sentiment on my computer and printed on clear printable printer paper. The focal panel is attached to the card base with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by.

THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE

Hi dear friends. I am popping in for a quick post to share my Paper Smooches card for this week.

(A2: Stamps:  Paper Smooches (Circle of Honor); Die: Spellbinders; Star: Heidi Swapp)

I wanted one more AnyHero card to go in my Operation Write Home box, so I used the PS Circle of Honor sentiment to make this simple card. I had inked the star in Brick Red a while back and never used it. So, I added Blue Denim and ended up with a deep blue that worked with the papers.

Thanks for stopping by.

CASology109: @ CUP OF THANKS

Hi dear friends. I am sharing my CASology card for this week. The cue word is JAVA:

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Cyber Café); Cut File: Silhouette Studio

I had this coffee-to-go cut file and finally had a chance to use it. I combined it with the Cyber CafĂ© stamp set from PS using the steam and sentiment from that set. The sentiment is heat embossed. I don’t know if you can see it in the picture, but the bottom of the white panel is randomly scored.

Hello crafty friends. Welcome back to In a World of Craft! I have a quick post to show you my Less is More card for this week. The theme this week is ANIMALS:

(A2: Stamps:  Paper Smooches (Zoo Crew and Sentiment Sampler), StampinUP! (Off the Grid and Gorgeous Grunge); Die: Paper Smooches (Zoo Crew)

I just adore the PS Zoo Crew and was happy to used that set for this card. I stamped the giraffe on orange paper and then colored with Copics. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches too and the background stamps are all from StampinUp.

The challenge at Paper Smooches is Anything Goes this week, so I am entering my card there too.

COS39: HELLO

Hello sweet friends. I have a couple of cards to share today. This one is for the CAS on Sunday challenge – Butterfly.

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Flap Happy), StampinUp (Gorgeous Grunge), Rubber Stamp Tapestry (floral block stamp – retired I think); EP: Inkadinkado (Copper); Butterfly Punch: EK)

For my main butterfly, I knew I wanted to do embossed vellum so I used the EK butterfly punch and punched one in a coppery card for the base and then in vellum. I heat embossed in Copper and heat embossed the grunge dots in Copper too. I used a butterfly from Flap Happy and stamped it twice on the base using white ink and added the sentiment. I used my score board and scored the card on the top and bottom of the paper strip and added a few tiny pearls on the butterfly to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by.

OWH235: THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART

Hello dear friends!  Here is my card for the Operation Write Home sketch. Instead of an AnyHero card, I made a card for a specific soldier who is leaving the Army soon. I just want him to know how appreciated he is and how much I appreciate all he has done.

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Many Thanks); DSP: MME (Follow Your Heart); Dies: Spellbinders (Scalloped Square and Circle), Taylored Expressions)

Right now, I know so  many of our soldiers feel unappreciated because of many issues they are facing, but this one soldier is one I know and I can at least send him a card. I wanted to keep it masculine but cheerful too, so I hope I accomplished that. I love the sketch this week! Thanks for another great one!!

OWH234: SINCERE THANKS

Hello dear friends!  I fee so honored this week! Operation Write Home used my card (here) to create this week’s sketch!  How awesome is that? I made another AnyHero card again this week:

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Many Thanks); DSP: MME Memorable: Dies: Spellbinders (Scalloped Square and Circle); L’il Inker Designs (Stitched Heart)

I used a bunch of the stamps from Many Thanks to create the design on the circle and two more stamps to create the sentiment. Some stitching and I pretty much followed the sketch, so really easy card.

Thanks for stopping by!
