HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Hi dear Doodle Pantry friends!   Doodle Pantry is sponsoring The Squirrel and the Fox challenge this week, so here is your chance to join in at their challenge AND at the Doodle Pantry DPDC46 challenge! The Squirrel and the Fox challenge is to make a Mother’s Day card. Here is a little inspiration for you:

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Bird Mothers);Dies: Spellbinders and Inspired by Stamping; DP: 7 Gypsies (Conservatory)

I decided to give a go at coloring the hummingbirds. I used colors of the ones we see in our yard all the time. I used various dies to create the focal circle and added the sentiment at the bottom of the strip. Pretty simple card, but lots of layers.

I hope you enjoyed my card!

Now, time to check out the challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox , and don’t forget, if you use a Doodle Pantry image you can also enter our challenge and get a free digi set! (See below)

DOODLE PANTRY & The Squirrel and the Fox

Hi dear Doodle Pantry friends! The Squirrel and the Fox new challenge is LOVE and since Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this challenge, I made a card to inspire you!

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Pretty Peacock) includes digital papers, images and sentiment)

OK, I don’t usually color images, but for this card, I wanted the peacock to have very light, pastel colors so out came the Copics. First, in my photo software, I made two blank pages sized 4 x 5.25 so I could get a better idea about placement of the images and sentiments. I then printed and colored and simply mounted on beige card and added on a blue/grey card blank.

Now, don’t forget to check out the challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox and join in the fun. PLUS if you use a Doodle Pantry image, you also can enter our Doodle Pantry challenge for a second chance to win!
