THE BESTIES CHALLENGE

Good day everyone! I have an eye inflammation, so I’m not sure how much crafting or posting I will do for the next few days. I wanted to make sure I get this card into the My Besties challenge though!

(5x7: Stamps: Sherry Ann Baldy – My Besties (Winter Bashful Bestie), Heartfelt Creations (trees), Inspired by Stamping (sentiment)Markers: Copic; Stencil: Simon Says Stamp; Dies: Lawn Fawn and Inspired by Stamping; Flower Soft

I have to admit, I think this little Bestie is adorable! I used layers that I cut using Lawn Fawn dies to create the hills and stamped the trees in the background. I added embossing paste using a snowy stencil to create the snowfall and added flower soft to create some snow on the ground. I colored the image with Copic markers, made the flower and used a die from Inspired by Stamping to cut out the sentiment. I hope you like my card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my card.

CASology143: THANK YOU

Hi dear friends. Thanks for stopping by! Today, I am sharing my card for the CASology challenge. The theme this week is OMBRE:

(A2: Stamp: Inspired by Stamping (Heartfelt Gratitude); EF: Cuttlebug)

It has been a while since I have had time to play along at CAS-ology, so I am happy to be back this week with a submission. I hope this is CAS enough; someone will have to let me know! I rubbed VersaMark over my embossing folder and ran it through the embossing machine. Then I used white EP and heat embossed. That was followed up with Distress Ink and then a little rubbing off of the ink. I stamped the sentiment on vellum and added a little rub off flourish.

Thanks for stopping by.

GUEST DESIGNER AT ADDICTED TO CAS!

Hello to all my blogging friends! I am so happy to announce today that I am the Guest Designer over at Addicted to CAS for the month of February! Thank you sweet ladies for choosing me to join you!

This week’s challenge is hosted by Harriet and her code word is MASK. I know that can be taken several ways, so I chose to use the masking technique. Also, the challenge is sponsored by Inspired by Stamping and I could not resist using a couple of stamp sets from Joanna!

(A2; Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Elegant Flowers and Little Flowers); Border: Martha Stewart; Copic Markers)

For the masking, I covered the bottom portion of the panel and stamped the large flower first (from Elegant Flowers). I then masked the flower and stamped the little flowers, the leaves and the sentiment (from Little Flowers), masking them as I went. Last, I uncovered the bottom of the card and masked the top. I then used the punched out MS border as a stencil and green ink to create the border. I could have made it a one layer card, but decided I wanted a little dimension. so I added the green mat and popped the panel up on the base using foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope to see what form of masking you chose for your card! Here is the link to the challenge:

VLVNovWk1: NOEL

Hello crafty friends. Welcome back to my blog today! I have two posts with the first one for the Viva la Verve week 1 sketch:

(A2: Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Christmas Greetings); DSP: Scrap box; EF: The Paper Studio; Cut file: Silhouette Studio; Die: Memory Box)

Viva la Verve has another beautiful sketch that I loved working with! I used some scraps along with Kraft to come up with this one. I used a Memory Box die to make the base of the poinsettia and then cut the flower using my Cameo. I added a little Stickles for a bit of shine.

Thanks for stopping by!

LIM176: LOVE

Hi dear friends.I have a few posts for today. Since my son’s deployment I find myself in my craft room trying to keep my mind busy! So, I apologize for so many posts in one day, but I do want to get these cards into the challenges. This first one is for the Less is More challenge this week:

(A2: Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Little Flowers)

This week the theme is a one-layer card and  “off the edge” so I stamped the flowers off the edge of my card using VersaColor ink. I then stamped the sentiment within the flowers. Pretty simple OLC. Thanks for stopping by.

CCC21: HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello crafty friends! I have another Christmas card today. This one is for the Christmas Card Challenges:

(A2: Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Christmas Greetings); Cut files: Silhouette)

The theme for this challenge is Santa or Sleigh. I used my Silhouette to cut the moon and Santa with reindeer silhouette. I attached the Santa and reindeer with foam tape and added a little red pearl on the nose of the first reindeer. The card stock I used is a deep blue with speckles in it. It worked perfectly for a night sky! I added a silver border and mounted on a card blank using the same paper as the background.

Thanks for stopping by.

(A2: Stamps:Inspired by Stamping (Just Because); DP: DCWV (Fashion District: Fiber: stash; Cut file: Silhouette (3d flower))

I had this card done earlier this week and decided I didn’t like the flowers, so I remade them and am much happier with it now. The sentiment is from IBS and I just love the font. I hope you enjoyed my card.

FMS129: HELLO

Hello again! This is my second post for today, so if you missed my Great Impressions inspiration card, please scroll down! This card is for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

(A2: Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Springtime Beauty II); DSP: MME (Memorable).

Are you as ready for spring as I am? I have serious cabin fever with all of this rainy weather, and I NEED to see some sunshine! With that in mind, I just had to do a card with flowers, birds and a spring feeling to it. The sentiment and birds are from IBS. The feather is a cut file from my Cameo. I hope you like!!

52CCT: MAY YOU BE BLESSED THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Good morning dear friends! I have a couple of Christmas cards to post so I hope you check them both out! This first one is for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.

(A2: Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Christmas Greetings); Cut files: Silhouette; EF: Sizzix; Ribbon (Really Reasonable Ribbon))

I used my Silhouette Cameo for most of this card. The label is a nested cut file so I cut the larger size in silver and then cut the smaller green and stamped the IBS sentiment. The holly and flower are also cut files. I dry embossed the white panel, mounted on a green border and ran a green ribbon around the panel. after attaching all pieces, I attached the entire panel to a white card base.

Thanks for stopping by.

CTS69: LOVE YOU

Hi again! I have another card to share with you today. It is for this week’s CAS(e) This Sketch:

(A2: Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Fancy Tags, Just Because); Die: Spellbinders Oval; DP: Collage Press (London Market))

I stamped the sentiment and then added the two flourishes. Once they were done I lined up my oval SB die and ran it through my machine just to emboss it, not cut it. I cut a panel from the CP DP and layered both panels on black. The whole front was then attached to the white card base.

LIM164: YOUR KINDNESS TOUCHED MY HEART

Hi sweeties!I hope you had an awesome weekend and are ready for another full week of fun and crafting! This morning I am sharing a card I made for this week’s Less is More challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Heartfelt Gratitude); Die: Paper Sizzix Sizzlits (Primitive Hearts)

This week, the challenge is to include 3 of something on your card. I just got this beautifully soft, romantic paper pack from MME and decided to die cut three primitive hearts and stitch them on. I stamped the beautiful sentiment from Inspired by Stamping and mounted on a striped pink border. I used some enamel dots and then adhered to the card base with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by.

LIM163: LOVE

Hi sweeties! Wow, I don’t know where this weekend has gone! I guess the pretty weather yesterday made the day just slip by. This week, the Less is More theme is masking or stenciling. I played around with several ideas and ended up liking this one.

(A2: Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Little Flowers); Die: Memory Box, Spellbinders)

To make this card, I used the Memory Box die and cut my stencil. I then used Distress Inks to create the flowers. Once they were done, I embossed the edges with a Spellbinders Gold Rectangles One. I cut it down to size and then stamped the sentiment and mounted on a green border to match the card base.

Thanks for stopping by.
