LIM184: AUTUMN FOLIAGE

Hello crafty friends. Welcome back to In a World of Craft! I have a quick post to show you my Less is More card for this week. It is one-layer card week with a theme - foliage.

(A2: Stamps:  Great Impressions (Second Spring - E550), Hero Arts (leaves))

I used Twinkling H2Os to ink up my stamp and then restamped using black ink. Then I added the sentiment and let it flow into the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by!

LIM180: BUTTERFLY KISSES AND LADYBUG HUGS

Hello and welcome to In a World of Craft. This week at the Less is More challenge we are asked not only to make a one layer card, but also adapt a fingerprint! I decided to use my thumb and here is what I came up with:

(A2: Stamps: Hero Arts (Butterflies), Great Impressions (Ladybug Hugs))

The ladybug is what I made with my thumb. I then stamped the butterflies and colored with Copics. Last, I added the sentiment from Great Impressions. I hope you enjoyed my OLC!

Thanks for stopping by!

LIM176: LOVE

Hi dear friends.I have a few posts for today. Since my son’s deployment I find myself in my craft room trying to keep my mind busy! So, I apologize for so many posts in one day, but I do want to get these cards into the challenges. This first one is for the Less is More challenge this week:

(A2: Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Little Flowers)

This week the theme is a one-layer card and  “off the edge” so I stamped the flowers off the edge of my card using VersaColor ink. I then stamped the sentiment within the flowers. Pretty simple OLC. Thanks for stopping by.

LIM167: YOU & ME

Hello fellow LIMettes! Just popping in to quickly share my card for this week. The theme is one layer cards with shadow stamping.

(A2: Stamps: StampinUp! (Gorgeous Grunge and Perfect Pennants)

I used the ampersand from Perfect Pennants and stamped first with Color Box pigment ink in white. I then restamped with Memento Olive Grove to create the shadow. After that, I masked and used one of the stamps from Gorgeous Grunge and created the ombre lines going behind the sentiment. It is finished off with a few small dot of Perfect Pearls.

Thanks for stopping by.

LIM162: YOU MADE ME SMILE

Hi dear friends. Happy Monday. Just stopping in to share my Less is More card for this week:

(A2: Stamps: Verve (Take Note), Stampendous (Botanical Daffodil))

The LIM challenge is a one layer card with spring flowers, so I decided maybe a little Black Magic was in order. I stamped the flowers with Brilliance Moonlight White ink and colored with my Prismacolor pencils. I then stamped the sentiment with the same ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

GREAT IMPRESSIONS INSPIRATION SATURDAY

Hello my dear friends! Welcome back to Great Impressions Inspiration Saturday with ME!

GTDTFeb22_14_thumb

This week, I decided to inspire you with a One-Layer Card (OLC) using the Floral Cake and the Come True birthday stamps. I cut a mask and used Distress Inks to create the flood light effect, then stamped the cake and sentiment. I colored the cake with Copics, then masked the bottom of the card and splattered paint for a confetti effect. What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by for a bit of inspiration from Great Impressions. Don’t forget to check out the blog and the current monthly challenge!

One last thing, be sure to “Like” Great Impressions on FACEBOOK!

LIM158; ATCAS31: I LOVE YOU TODAY AND ALWAYS

Hello sweet friends. It’s one-layer week at Less is More, so here is what I created:

(A2: Stencil: The Crafters Workshop (Mini And so on); Stamps: Verve (One Person); Ranger Distress Inks)

I kept this OLC very simple and stenciled the ampersand in the lower right quadrant. I then used a darker ink and stamped the sentiment from Verve. Very quick and simple.

The theme at Addicted to CAS is LOVE, so I am entering this in that challenge as well.

I hope you like it!

LIM154: XOXO

Hello sweet friends. Welcome back for my second post for today. This card is for the Less is More challenge.

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Sweet Hearts); Inks: Distress Ink)

This is One-layer week at LIM with the addition of using a heart. I chose to create an ombre background with DI and then stamped the flourish, heart and tiny leaves. Very simple and quick OLC. I wasn’t too sure about the colors, but what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by. Here is a link to the LIM challenge in case you want to share in the fun.

JOY

TGIF to all my lovely friends! What a busy week this has been. I almost missed the deadline over at 52CCT, but am getting in just under the wire. Here is my card:

(A2; Stamps: Rubber Stamp Tapestry (Joy block stamp, Holiday Bells and Bows ), EF: Darice: EP: Sparkle ‘n Sprinkle)

The recipe challenge is a OLC with only a hint of color and ribbon or bling. I went for bling in the sparkly embossing powders. It is hard to see in the picture, but the bow and greenery sparkle on the card. I used an embossing folder to add depth. Hope you likey!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

LIM 145: THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART

Hello dear friends. I feel very lucky to be posting today because I am having internet problems and will hopefully receive my new modem before I completely lose touch!

I hope you have already seen my first post, but if not, please scroll down to see the ones I posted this morning. This card is for the Less is More OLC challenge.

(A2; Stamps: Paper Smooches (Many Thanks), Penny Black (Love Flourish); Paper: Neenah Solar White; Ink: Ranger DI; Die: Paper Smooches Border)

Oh boy! It is OLC week at Less is More and I am learning to enjoy making these cards! For this one, I heat embossed the PB heart using a sparkly EP. I cut a mask using the PS wavy border die, then masked and used the emboss resist technique going from light to dark, ombre style. I then stamped the sentiment from PS to complete this very simple CAS card.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

ATCAS25: I LOOK UP TO YOU

Hello sweet friends. I have a couple more cards to share with  you, in addition to my Technique Time Tuesday card from this morning. This one is for the Addicted to CAS challenge which is OLC’s this week!

(A2; Stamps: Paper Smooches (Zoo Crew), Inkadinkado fern; Paper: Neenah Solar White; Inks: Memento (Pistachio); Copics)

I have to credit Chrissie at Less is More for offering all of those OLC challenges. She forced me to learn a little more about making these and I have grown a little more comfortable. I stamped the animals and sentiment and then masked and stamped the ferns. The animals are colored with Copics. When complete, I drew the frame around it.

Thanks for stopping by!
