CCC32; PS: SEASON’S GREETINGS

Hello dear friends and welcome to my blog! I have a few cards to share today so let’s get started!

This first card I have to share is for the Christmas Card Challenge and the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge.

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Warm Hearts, Season’s Greetings); Die: Paper Smooches (border die and Scalloped Tag)

The CCC challenge is to use a tag and PS is anything goes, so I used the PS Scalloped Tag die for my tag and stamped the snowman and greetings. I paper pieced the nose and heart. The DSP is reversible so I used the glittery paper as the background and die cut the reverse side with the wavy border die.

CCC30: SEASON’S GREETINGS

Hello dear friends and welcome to my blog! It is Saturday and that means after my Great Impressions post I have Christmas cards for you.

This first card I have to share is for the Christmas Card Challenge that ends in a few hours! YIKES I am running behind this week!

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches; Stencil: Spellbinders; Cut files: Silhouette)

After cutting my panels, I used white ink and the SB stencil to add snowflakes to the background. I cut the ornaments using my Silhouette and stamped the PS sentiment. A little stitching and a black card base complete this simple card.

CCC21: HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello crafty friends! I have another Christmas card today. This one is for the Christmas Card Challenges:

(A2: Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Christmas Greetings); Cut files: Silhouette)

The theme for this challenge is Santa or Sleigh. I used my Silhouette to cut the moon and Santa with reindeer silhouette. I attached the Santa and reindeer with foam tape and added a little red pearl on the nose of the first reindeer. The card stock I used is a deep blue with speckles in it. It worked perfectly for a night sky! I added a silver border and mounted on a card blank using the same paper as the background.

CCC19: MERRY CHRISTMAS

I am so happy I started following some Christmas card challenges. Maybe this year I won’t be bogged down at a time that I just want to have fun. Anyway, my second card for today is a Christmas card for the Christmas Card Challenge.

(A2: Stamps: Penny Black (Poinsettia), Inkadinkado (sentiment): Cut file:Silhouette (leaves); Border punch: Martha Stewart; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

This challenge was to use no patterned papers. I heat embossed the flower on vellum with a sparkly embossing powder and then fussy cut it. I cut the leaves on my Cameo and attached to the flower. I punched three borders and layered before adding the red panel. So no patterned paper but still plenty of texture and interst.

CCC17: HOPE YOU’VE BEEN NICE THIS YEAR

Hello again! This is my second post and another Christmas card. I have never made a slider card, but I thought an interactive card for a child would be fun, so here it is:

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Quirky Polar Bear, Winter Wishes, Jolly St. Nick)

I used my Silhouette Cameo for most of this card too. I loaded the trees from Winter Wishes, but the image has a fence and a mailbox in front of the trees. I deleted the parts I didn’t need in the picture, then I copied the two trees and pasted to fill in the background a little more.  I then added cut lines for the slide area.

I also loaded the Polar Bear from Quirky Polar Bear, traced him and then added the sentiment to the same page. I sent all of this to the printer, colored with Copics and sent through the Cameo for cutting.

Once the bear was cut, I used a penny and some paper dots to build up an area to attach the bear. Once he was in place, I added white paper behind the scene and added the panel to a red border.

52CCTD; CCC15: FROM OUR HOUSE TO YOURS

Hi sweeties! I hope your week started off with a lot of crafty time. Today, I have another Christmas card to share. This is for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and Christmas Card Challenges #15:

(A2: Cut files: Paper Smooches (Bitty Bungalows) EK (inside sentiment), Copics; Die: Paper Smooches (border))

The 52CCTD challenge is a color challenge so I chose blue, dark teal, dark green and red. The CC15 challenge is to make a CAS Christmas card. Hopefully this fits the bill.

I cut the hills and the bottom border of the card front using the PS border die. After coloring the house, I fussy cut it and attached next to the front of card sentiment. I stamped the inside with the Merry Christmas sentiment so it can be seen when the card is open or closed.

CCC10: VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hi dear friends! What a busy week! I almost did not get this Christmas card posted in time! This is for Christmas Card Challenges where the theme is Tags:

(A2; Stamps: EK Success; Die: Paper Smooches (Scalloped Tag); Lace: Really Reasonable Ribbon; DSP: K&Co (Brenda Walton Peppermint Twist))

I stamped the sentiment several times on the DSP and then added strips of DSP on white paper. I then cut the main tag and then a second one in the red DSP. I looped lace through the tags and added some enamel dots. The horizontal panel has a piece of the same lace wrapped around it and foam tape to pop it up.

OWH209; CCC9: JOY

Hi sweeties. Time for another Christmas card for the Christmas Card Challenges challenge 9 – Anything Goes.

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Holiday Nutcrackers) – set includes images, sentiments, and digital papers; Die: Spellbinders Circle)

For this week’s card, I decided to combine the sketch at OWH with the anything goes challenge at CCC and have a little digital play time. For the focal image, I merged the solid green digital paper, the nutcracker, and the poinsettia. Then I made a smaller version of the poinsettia and just copied the two sizes so that they surrounded the nutcracker. After die cutting the sentiment, I used a dauber to ink around the sentiment before taking it out of the die.

Hi sweeties. My little Joy is off getting groomed today, and sadly they just called to tell me they are going to have to start sedating her to groom her. She gets so nervous, it really is sad to see; and she is just such a sweetie. I love this groomer and so does Joy, but I think past groomers may have been impatient with her…..Oh well, I will craft to try to keep from worrying!

I decided to combine the OWH sketch this week with the Christmas Card Challenge which is Polka-Dots this week. I think this is some of the first Christmas paper I ever bought, but since I cut everything into 6x6 pieces and organized it in a box, it is much easier to find and use this stuff. The stamp set was designed the talented Sandy Allnock at Operation Write Home and it is a fundraiser set for OWH.

CCC6: HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello dear friends. Another quick post today. This time, I have a Christmas card for the Christmas Card Challenges blog:

(A2; Die: Spellbinders Ovals, Paper Smooches Curved border; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon; Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (Christmas Greetings); Paper: Little Yellow Bicycle (Once Upon a Christmas)

I decided to give this card a little bit of a frosty look so I used my Adirondack Dabber and swished it along the edges. I cut the curved border in black and then repeated with DSP making sure the curves would match up once I had them both cut. I stitched the curved panel onto the red background and zig zag stitched the reindeer border.

Hi sweet bloggers. I’m sorry I have not posted in a week! I went to visit Mom and got sick on the way home. I still have Christmas cards to share so, happy news! I’m back to share today! First up is a Christmas card that I made for a friend.

(A2; Die: Spellbinders Circles, Silhouette Deer; Lace: Really Reasonable Ribbon; Glitter Paper and Gold Foil: American Crafts; EF: Darice; Stamps: Inspired by Stamping)

I used my Silhouette to cut out the stag. The white base is dry embossed with the circle die cuts offset under the lower panel of white and gold glitter stripes. I wrapped the little piece of lace around the panel and mounted on the base. Last, I popped up the stag with some foam tape. Thanks for stopping by!

CCC#1: HAVE A JOLLY HOLIDAY

Hi my dears! I have a few quick posts for you and then I’m out to do some shopping. Do you have your Christmas decorating done yet? I only have the tree up, ugh. So much to do! It would be fun to do if anyone was actually coming home this year, but neither of the kids can make it. Oh well, enough of that! Let’s look at cards!

What fun! The challenge at Christmas Card Challenges #1 is NO STAMPING. I had to think about that for a bit, but remembered this chipboard I have been holding on for a while. It was perfect for this card, and I was able to use some of my Christmas scraps (I always LOVE using scraps!).
