CTS124: JUST THINKING ABOUT YOU

Hello again! I’m so happy you stopped by today to see my card for the  CAS(e) This Sketch  challenge.

(A2; Stamps: CAS-ual Friday (Beanstalk)

To create the background, I masked off the three columns and sprayed with Glimmer Mist. Then I stamped the beanstalks using the ombre technique. To stay close to the sketch, I added a little sprig going between the first and second stalk. I finished with the stamped sentiment and added a bit of Smooch.

TI157 AND CTS123: THANK YOU CARD

Happy day sweet friends!  I am stopping in this afternoon to share my Tiddly Inks card for the current challenge and the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge:

(A2: Stamps:  Tiddly Inks (Poppylicious); Water color paper; Card stock; Distress Inks)

The sketch at CTS seemed perfect for this card, but I decided to flip it around. I used the Out of the Box technique on the image so I could use a smaller die. The center panel is water color paper that I spritzed with water and then used DI to add the color. I then used a paintbrush to splatter the card base, added the panel and last the image. The image is colored with Copic markers.

CTS AND THE LIMETTES

Hello again! I’m so happy you stopped by today to see my card for the  CAS(e) This Sketch  challenge, and for the Less is More challenge.

(A2; Stamps: Technique Tuesday)

This was really hard to photograph, but I cut out two tags and used some double sided movable tape to stack the tags and the base. I used the Triple Stamping technique to stamp the image and I used some of the tiny flowers from the set and stamped them in different shades of pink. Some of them are hard to see in the photo because they are so light. I added the greenery and pink dots. I used foam tape to attach the top tag. I tied the tags together with white ribbon and added to a pink mat; then attached using foam tape to the white card base.

CTS102: BIRTHDAY WISHES FOR YOU

Hello crafty friends. I hope you saw my Great Impressions post for today! I have another card to share, so let’s get started. This is for the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Verve (Making a Statement), StampinUp (Off the Grid and Gorgeous Grunge); Die: Verve (Rounded Scallop Frame Die)

Well, I made two cards using this sketch and this is the one I decided to use. I don’t know why the CTS sketches challenge me so much, but they do! I liked the way the butterflies in the sketch moved from outside the frame, to into the frame and out again. I wanted to do something different but get the effect of the movement, so I stamped the sentiment card, the frame and the yellow back panel while they were all stacked. Then, I attached the sentiment card and added foam tape strategically behind the frame so I could work the rhinestone swirl under and over it. I added one epoxy dot to anchor the swirl.

CTS101: MERRY CHRISTMAS

I went very CAS for this Christmas card. I used a cut file and silver card stock to cut the star and red card for the sentiment. A little rhinestone and a tiny bow finished off this card.

CTS98: HELLO

Hello crafty friends. I have some cards to share today, so let’s get started. This is for the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge:

(A2: Dies: Paper Smooches (Hello Words); DSP: Heidi Swapp (Sugar Chic); Cut File: Silhouette Studio

I made the flower from a Silhouette Studio cut file. I positioned the hello die across the two panels and cut. Then I cut again using the blue and placed the blue positive die cut into the negative space. I added a couple of strips of washi tape, some enamel dots and attached the two pink panels using foam tape for dimension.

CTS82: LOVE

Hello crafty friends. I hope your weekend is going well. I have some cards to share today, so let’s get started. This is for the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge:

(A2: Dies: Paper Smooches (love), and Memory Box (flowers)

I wanted to keep this card very simple so I used the MB die and cut the flowers. I used the negative part of the cut to “stencil” the flowers using daubers and Distress Ink. I love the resulting soft effect. I cut the sentiment from the same paper as the border and added cream and purple dots, rhinestones and a heart.

So, this is a card made with no stamps at all. I kept with the sketch design and focused on the love aspect shown in the heart. What do you think?

CTS81; FUSION: YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST

Hi my crafty friends! TGIF!!! This card is for the combined CAS(e) This Sketch and Fusion challenges:

(A2: Stamps:Technique Tuesday (Simply You); Stencil: The Crafter’s Workshop; Cut file: Silhouette; Punch: EK)

I am still having fun playing with stencils and embossing paste. This time, after applying the paste, I sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heat set it. I love how it turned out looking like wire and I love the texture it added to the card. I used gold card stock and my Silhouette to cut the flower. I cut it again on vellum and placed the vellum on top of the flower. I decided to use vellum for the banner so the background could show through. Since CTS and Fusion teamed up this week, I used both the sketch and the photo so I could submit to both challenges.

Hello everyone and Happy Hump Day!  I have been really busy and have not had as much crafty time as I like, but I do have one card to share with you today. It is for the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Many Thanks and Flap Happy); Stencil: The Crafter’s Workshop (Mini Chicken wire); Cut file: Silhouette)

I played with my embossing paste again and mixed up several colors to create the chicken wire border. The sentiment and butterfly are from PS and I used a Silhouette banner cut file. The card is finished off with a few enamel dots and a blue border.

CTS78: YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST

Hello sweet friends! Time to start another week and get crafty. This card is for the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge:

(A2: Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays (RAD), Technique Tuesday (Simply You))

This was a very simple card to make. I just curved the border stamp from RAD and inked it with three DI’s and stamped three times along the right. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap and adhered all to a golden border.

CTS77: YOUR SMILE IS ALL I NEED

Hello sweet friends! This is my second post for today. This card is for the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry: (Texas Dogwood); Copics)

I’ve been having fun coloring flowers from Doodle Pantry this week. The dogwood is the North Carolina state tree, so we have tons of them growing here. In the spring, they are gorgeous blooming along with the purple wisteria! I colored this with Copics and added a few enamel dots and rhinestones. The sketch is below, and you will see that I flipped the sketch so that it goes left to right.

CTS76: LOVE YOU

Hello again my dear friends! Last night, I realized I forgot to post this card, so I am back with a second post for today. This one is for Case This Sketch and I didn't want to miss the deadline.

(A2: Stamps: Simon Says Stamps (Big You); Die: Paper Smooches (Love); EF: Darice)

I have been seeing a lot of people using embossing folders as stamps, so I have been playing with it and used my hexagon folder to create the background. I cut "love" out twice so I could stack it for a little more depth and stamped the smallest "you" from the Big You stamp set. I ran across some flat Jolee flowers at Joann's and decided they were perfect for this card. I added a few enamel hearts and dots and mounted on a golden yellow background border before adhering to the white card base.

ATS94; CTS75: YOU MAKE ME HAPPY

Hello my blogging friends! I apologize for so many posts today. I have been very crafty this week and today I had two DTs to post for, but I also want to share these two cards that are for challenges. So, one more post after this one and I am done for today!   

(A2: Stamps: StampinUp! (Off the Grid, Gorgeous Grunge and Perfect Pennants))

The challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More is to make a CAS card, so I used the sketch from the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge and came up with this bit of grunge. I used Brilliance Moonlight White ink on a deep blue card stock to make the sentiment pennant. The rest of the ink is Ranger’s Distress Ink.

Happy Monday! Was your weekend amazing? I'm so happy that our weather has become perfect. I just wish it could stay this way.

I was intrigued by the CTS sketch this week and thought I might be able to work with the PS border die to come up with an approximation of the sketch. After cutting and gluing the monochromatic sweep across the card, I added a flower from my stash and the Verve sentiment.
