DOODLE PANTRY AIMPDC 15

Hello again my Doodle Pantry friends! I’m back with my AIMPDC DT card. I chose Spring Critters for my card:

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Spring Critters)

I love making children’s birthday cards, so my kids need to step up and have some grandchildren for me! I drew the hexagons on the ball and colored them with Sakura Gel Pens. The rest of the image is colored with Copics.  I used a stencil and Distress Inks to create the balloons. I coated them with several layers of UTEE, cut them out and attached them to the card with foam tape. I added a bit of machine stitching to finish it off.

Thanks for visiting, and be sure to check out what the rest of our DT has for today:

Now, go create and show us what you made!

Thanks for stopping by!

I  hope you enjoyed my card and don’t forget to join our challenge AIMPDC15! Here is your link:

DOODLE PANTRY & OPEN MINDED CRAFTING

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at Open Minded Crafting. I’m sure you will want to go over and play in the challenge, but first I have a little inspiration for you.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Cute Cake)

This challenge is to use something new. My dear Hubby gave me a Copic Air Compressor for Christmas so I used it for the background on this card. The cake is colored with Copic markers and embellished with enamel dots and rhinestones. Did you get something new for Christmas? Show us by making a card and sharing in the challenge!

Now it is  your turn! Get over to Open Minded Crafting and show us what you create!

I  hope you enjoyed my card and don’t forget to join our challenge! Here is your link:

MIXED MEDIA

Happy Monday sweet friends! Hopefully you had a wonderful weekend.  We finally got some sunshine and temperatures in the 50s so I was able to walk and take down the outside Christmas decorations. This is the LATEST I have ever had them up!

Before Christmas, I got the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy stamp set but I’ve been to busy to play with it! I got some time this weekend and decided to play with the set and a bit of mixed media. Here is what I came up with:

Size: A2; Stamps: Tim Holtz (Bird Crazy), Verve (Making a Statement); Stencil: The Crafters Workshop (Mini Butterfly Meadow); Misc: tissue paper, acrylic paints, Gesso, embossing paste, Copic markers)

I have never done much with mixed media so this was a fun card; I may even try some more! I started with white card stock and wrinkled tissue paper. I glued the tissue paper to the card stock making sure it had lots of wrinkles. I used Gesso to prime it and once it was dry, I applied acrylic paints.  After the paint was dry, I added the flowers using a stencil and embossing paste. I colored the flowers and the bird with Copic markers. I fussy cut the bird, stamped him on the background so his head feather and legs would show and pasted the colored bird on top. For the border, I used a ruler and a black and a white marker and just hand drew the lines.

This card is available on my #Etsy shop, Ellen’s Creative Cards and Crafts.

I hope you liked my card! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Crafting!!!

VLVFebWk3: BIRTHDAY WISHES

Hello again friends. Popping in with another  Viva la Verve card for this month. This is the one for VLV  February Week 3 sketch.

(A2; Stamps: Verve (Making a Statement and One Person); Die: Verve (Rounded Scallop Frame Die); Papers: Heidi Swapp)

I think the only thing I need to explain is about the flower. It is from the One Person set. I stamped the large and small one, colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut. I used foam tape and added the small flower on top of the large one.

Thanks for stopping by!

Here is a link to the challenge so you can join in the fun!
