QUILLED 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Hello blogging friends! I’m back today with a card that I quilled for my shop. It is a 50th Wedding Anniversary card:

(5x7: Quilled and dry embossed)

I needed a 50th Anniversary card for a friend, so I made some extra for my shop. This is a 5x7 card with dry embossing on the black and white layers. A strip of gold foiled card stock serves as the background for the machine-cut 50. The flowers and leaves are quilled in white, gold and black edged in gold strips.

Well, I hope you like my card. I really would like to hear what you think so please leave a comment!!

I used a Micron pen to draw and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is handwritten. I matted the drawing on textured card stock and mounted on a cover stock card blank.  The center of the bottom mandala is my attempt at the popular gems that are in so many of the Zentangle drawings these days. VLVAprilWk1

Hello dear blogging friends!. Popping in with my Viva la Verve card for this week. This is the one for the VLV  April Week 1 sketch.

Size A2; Zentangle Patterns: Puf Leaf

For the background, I used artist tape to mask the panel and inked the stripes. I have been wanting to draw my own cards, so I drew the wreath, flower and holly and hand lettered the sentiment. So no stamps or DSP on this card. Just card stock, ribbon, a metal circular paper clip that I threaded the ribbon through and foam tape.

ZENTANGLE THANK YOU

Hello blogging friends!  I’m popping in to share a hand drawn, and hand lettered card that I made for a neighbor.

I have been making cards for a long time, but my dream has always been to do the entire card by hand with no stamps. For this card I drew everything and hand wrote the sentiment. It is colored with Copics.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Please take a second to let me you were here!

MM439

Hello everyone! Just popping in to share my card for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge for this week.

(A2: Stamps: Inkadinkado)

I have another Christmas card for today! I am trying to use up old Christmas paper I have had for years. Man, when I started making cards, I bought a lot of Christmas paper! So, this card is pretty simple. I followed the sketch, added a little mouse face and some stitching. The sentiment is heat embossed in a glittery red.  I  hope you enjoyed my card!

QUILLED FLOWERS

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share a new quilled item that I have in my Etsy shop.

The variegated strips are made from vellum. I have never quilled with vellum, but I love how it curls. This is a 5x7 greeting card that can be framed in a shadow box. The colors are greens, yellow and purples. The roses are more of a champagne color.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing this piece! Please let me know what you think!

MM438: CHRISTMAS CARD

Hello everyone! Just popping in to share my card for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge for this week.

(A2: Stamps: Rubber Stamp Tapestry (Christmas Love); SVG: Silhouette Studio

I have a Christmas card for today! I used some very old scraps to make this card and stamped the tag with poinsettias and tiny presents. I hand wrote the sentiment because I have been working on hand lettering in the hopes of writing my sentiments. I used the negative space of the circle and added layers beneath it.  I  hope you enjoyed my card!

The challenge is to use shaded of green. To create the background, I dry embossed green card stock and then applied ink directly the the surface and machine stitched it. DOODLE PANTRY AIMPDC 15

Hello again my Doodle Pantry friends! I’m back with my AIMPDC DT card. I chose Spring Critters for my card:

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Spring Critters)

I love making children’s birthday cards, so my kids need to step up and have some grandchildren for me! I drew the hexagons on the ball and colored them with Sakura Gel Pens. The rest of the image is colored with Copics.  I used a stencil and Distress Inks to create the balloons. I coated them with several layers of UTEE, cut them out and attached them to the card with foam tape. I added a bit of machine stitching to finish it off.

Thanks for visiting, and be sure to check out what the rest of our DT has for today:

Now, go create and show us what you made!

Thanks for stopping by!

I  hope you enjoyed my card and don’t forget to join our challenge AIMPDC15! Here is your link:
