MM396: WATERCOLOR DOGWOOD

Hi dear friends! I am popping in to share my Mojo Monday card for this week:

(A2: Stamps: Hero Arts; Verve (Moments Remembered); DSP: MME (Just Splendid)

What a pretty sketch this week! I used a HA dogwood stamp and a very light ink to stamp the image. I then water colored the image using DI and a water brush. The DSP is a new find from Michael’s. I love the pastel colors!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

ADDICTED TO CAS DISTRESS CHALLENGE

Hello to all my dear friends! I am so happy to be back again today as the Guest Designer over at Addicted to CAS! Thank you again for choosing me to join you!

This week’s challenge is hosted by Kylie and her code word is DISTRESS.  Again, I chose to do a technique with the code word.

(A2; Stamps: Hero Arts (Small Metal Flourish), Great Impressions (C364 - If Only I Had Wings); Hero Arts butterfly and die)

I first heat embossed the metal fence flourish and then used Distress Inks and sponged them over the embossing. I used blue to mat the distressed panel and the large panel and stamped the GI sentiment on the large panel. The butterfly was die cut and stamped with DI.

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope to see what form of distress you chose for your card! Here is the link to the challenge:

Hello crafty friends. I just have a quick post today for the MarkerPOP challenge.

Hello and welcome to In a World of Craft. This week at the Less is More challenge we are asked not only to make a one layer card, but also adapt a fingerprint! I decided to use my thumb and here is what I came up with:

(A2: Stamps: Hero Arts (Butterflies), Great Impressions (Ladybug Hugs))

The ladybug is what I made with my thumb. I then stamped the butterflies and colored with Copics. Last, I added the sentiment from Great Impressions. I hope you enjoyed my OLC!

TCC7: JUST A NOTE….

Happy Sunday my dear friends! I hope your weekend is going well and you are crafting away; I know I have taken advantage of it and done a lot of crafting. I have a couple of cards to share now; this first one is for The Card Concept challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Hero Arts: (butterflies, sentiment and punched butterflies); Dies: Sizzix; DP: Graphic 45 (Ladies Diary))

The theme this week is to use butterflies. I chose to use watercolor paper to stamp the Hero Arts butterflies and then watercolored them. After the panel dried, I added butterflies that were stamped and die cut from the Graphic 45 paper. I added some dark grey card stock under them to create dimension, plus I added foam tape under the large one.. This panel was layered with Elan Metallics Chocolate card stock and CutMates White Flour.

Thanks for stopping by.

FMS124: JUST A NOTE…

Hi dear friends. Welcome to the beginning of a new week. I hope you will have lots of crafty time as you go through this week. I have two posts for you today. This is my first and is my card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

(A2; Stamps: Hero Arts (sentiment), Inkadinkado (background); Butterfly punch: EK)

I have been playing around with backgrounds this weekend and used a couple of them on this card.

The three panels are from a 4” square background stamp from Inkadinkado.  I heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder and then dropped dots of acrylic paint on the paper and used an old library card to move the paint around. Once it was covered, I just wiped off any excess paint. I let that dry while I played a bit more with the Shaving Cream technique we have been using this month at Technique Time Tuesday

Once my backgrounds were dry, I cut the background into the three panels for the sketch and I punched the top layer of the butterfly. I added green borders on all pieces and punched the bottom layer of the butterfly from the same green.

I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts (I don’t remember the name of the set), did a little stitching and placed on a blank card.

I hope you enjoyed!

CIE: JUST A NOTE….

Hello again. This is my third post for today, so please scroll down to see the others. This is for the Cards in Envy challenge:

(A2; Stamps: Hero Arts; Die: Silhouette)

The theme is Red, Pink and/or White. I chose to use a cut file for the flowers and cut them from light pink paper. I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts (I don’t remember the name of the set) on a bright pink then added the cut flowers and a couple of pearls for flower centers. I mounted on a black border and attached to a blank card.

I hope you enjoyed!

52CCT SKETCH: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello my dear blogging friends! It is time for another Christmas card I made for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown sketch challenge.

(A2: Stamps:Hero Arts (Holiday Cheer Messages), Stampin’Up! (Gorgeous Grunge); Die: Silhouette)

I loved this simple sketch and just had to use this poinsettia cut file. I did take the liberty to move the sentiment, so I hope that is OK. It just seemed to work for this card. Very quick and simple card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

FEEL BETTER REAL SOON

OK, a little break from Christmas cards! This one is for the Less is More challenge where the theme this week is Get Well and must be a OLC.

(A2; Stamps: Hero Arts Petite Prints Two Butterflies, Paper Smooches Salutations, Inspired by Stamping Ahoy, Matey; Markers: Copics)

I have to say that OLC’s don’t stress me as much as they did when I first started this! In fact, I had fun making this one with several stamps. I first stamped the small area of text using Memento London Fog ink. I then stamped the butterfly duo and added a second generation stamp in the upper left. I colored with Copics but kept the colors lighter on the second gen stamping. Finally I added the sentiment from Paper Smooches. I hope you like it!

DEEPEST SYMPATHY

Hello again! Another Friday post for you, this time for the Paper Smooches challenge:

(A2; Stamps: Paper Smooches Salutations, Hero Arts Poppy Background; Lace: Inspired by Stamping)

The inspiration photo is the beautiful flowers shown below. I decided to try embossing with two colors, white and hot pink and then use the emboss resist technique to color the flowers with soft pinks and wheat.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Salutations set.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!!
