MM410: YOU’RE SPEC-TACULAR

Hello everyone! Today’s cute card is made with Art Impressions stamps using the Mojo Monday sketch for this week.

(A2: Stamps: Art Impressions; DP: SN@P; Dies: Spellbinders

I just love this little guy and decided to try coloring on Kraft paper. I added white gel pen to the glasses so he would stand out more. What do you think?

VERVE INSPIRATION CHALLENGE–JULY

Hello again friends. I don’t know why it has taken me so long to find this challenge! Verve has a monthly inspiration challenge so I thought I would give it a try today. This is for the July Inspiration Challenge.

(A2; Stamps: Art Impressions (SCO649); DP: Heidi Swapp; Striped Acetate: We R Memory Keepers; Die: Verve

The inspiration challenge is to use stripes, and since I just bought this striped acetate I really wanted to use it for this challenge. I decided to use it on the balloons. I cut the background in solid color card stock and then cut again on the acetate. I glued the acetate to the card stock and then glued the two pieces together. I stamped and then fussy cut the sentiment and attached it with foam tape.

For the sky background, I first used some cloud masks and inked in blue. I then dry embossed clouds on the same paper to add dimension. I hope you like my card!

MM407: CATS

Hello everyone! Today’s fun card is made with Art Impressions stamps using the Mojo Monday sketch for this week.

(A2: Stamps: Art Impressions (SCO652); Printed Acetate: We R Memory Keepers; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon; DP: Wild Rose Studio (Annabelle’s Garden)

I was shopping in AC Moore yesterday and found this awesome printed acetate in neon colors. I used it on the lower portion of this card. The image is colored with Copic markers and paper pieced using the same DP as the background. For the flower, I took those hard roses (that we all bought and realized they are not really good for the mail) and pulled off the hard center of two roses and just used the bottom portion. I added some leaves and a brad. I hope you like my card!

AI164: IN WITH THE NEW

Hello dear friends! I have a card to share today for the Art Impressions challenge. The challenge is to new something you just bought:

(A2; Stamps: Art Impressions (SCO652)

I love humorous cards so I really had fun with this one! I just bought this stamp set at Michaels and was so eager to use them! Thank goodness, it worked out for this challenge! I stamped the image twice so I could fussy cut some pieces and pop them up for dimension. The image was colored with Copic markers. I used some paper scraps for the wall, floor and baseboard. I fussy cut one cat, made an oval frame and matted him with a scrap piece that had tiny flowers on it. What do you think?

Hello dear friends! I have a card to share today for the Art Impressions challenge. I just love Art Impressions stamps! They are so very funny. The challenge is FOR THE FELLAS. I just love these stamps I bought a few months ago:

(A2; Stamps: Art Impressions (Golden Oldies – TV and Man in Chair, and Just Say It (sentiment))

I love humorous cards so I really had fun with this one! I stamped the TV and the bag of chips twice so I could fussy cut and pop them with foam tape. I colored this with Copic markers. Hope you like it!

LIM: ONE LAYER CARD WEEK

Hello crafty friends. I’m so happy you stopped by today for my Less is More card for this week.  It is OLC week and we are to use an animal as our subject.

(A2: Stamps: Art Impressions (Spectacular)

I just love this cute guy! I stamped him and colored with Copic markers. After I finished coloring, I used a technique called Stamp Sketching that I learned from Sandy Allnock. You can see her tutorial here.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

AI142: HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello dear friends! I have another card to share today and it is for the Art Impressions challenge. I just love Art Impressions stamps! They are so very funny. The challenge is SENTIMENTS ONLY and since I have just started working on my AI stamp collection, I don’t have many sentiments, but I came up with a card anyway LOL.

(A2; Stamps: Art Impressions (Buzzard Set), Fiskars (Dotted Flourish); Ink: Distress Ink; EF: Cuttlebug)

I really wanted to use this set because it is new to me, but since we can’t use an image, I just used the sentiment and added the flourish and some Distress Ink. I finished off with a little stitching, some rhinestones and two blue borders.

LIM181: CELEBRATE

Hello crafty friends. Welcome back to In a World of Craft! I have a quick post to show you my Less is More card for this week:

(A2: Stamps:  Art Impressions (Window Box); Rubber Stamp Tapestry (Thank You Floral Crochet Set (retired), Cherry Blossoms Set, Wisteria Frame Set and Happy Birthday to You Peg Stamp - Mini); Paper Smooches (Salutations); Designs by Ryn (Water Droplets); Hero Arts (Flower set); Copics; Crystal Effects)

First, I want to thank Chrissie for the Window Box stamp! I love it so much and wanted to use it this week, so I decided I could have my flowers singing in the rain….hopefully that works for the challenge!

This card is “stamp heavy” but they are all so tiny and delicate, just perfect for the window box. All of the foliage and flowers are peg stamps from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. The three larger flowers are from Hero Arts (I think). I colored the window box and yellow flowers with Copics and added some spots of Crystal Effects as rain. Once the card was done, I thought it needed some more prominent raindrops, so I stamped Ryn’s Water Droplets and fussy cut three of them. Then I coated them with Crystal Effects and once dry added to the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

AI140: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

Hello dear friends! I have another card to share today and it is for a couple of new (to me) challenges.

I just love Art Impressions stamps! They are so very funny. The challenge is birthday cards and I just happen to have their stamp called Birthday Couple.

At Simon Says Stamp, the theme is Spots and Dots. I just got the balloon stencil, and I know technically it is not a spot or dot, but it is close LOL, and I used the rhinestones on the cake, so that should count (I hope!!). Anyway, here is my card:

(A2; Stamps: Art Impressions (Birthday Couple); Simon Says Stamps (Big You and Hello You); Stencil: Simon Says Stamps (Balloon & Patterns Stencil); Die: Spellbinders; Copics E – 0000, 000, 00. 04, 11, 21, 29, 57; G24; YG – 03, 06, 11; Y – 11, 15, 17; C-0 and C-3)

Now, as my husband and I get older, this image gets funnier and funnier to me! I colored the image with Copics and a tiny bit of gel pen on the glasses. I used another piece of white card and cut a partial circle then stenciled the balloons using daubers and Distress Ink. After stamping the sentiment I finished off with rhinestones, a yellow  then green border and mounted on a white card base.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my card as much as I enjoyed making it!
