Manly Birthday Card

I don’t know about you, but I find it difficult to always come up with a “manly” greeting card. To me flowers and bows don’t quite measure up. Today, I created a birthday card that should work for any man.

As always, this card incorporates stamps from Rubber Stamp Tapestry (RST). I just love the size of the stamps and the incredible detail you get. This card uses RST set “Antique Garden” and “Jumping Tree Frog” peg stamp to create a note card worthy of any man’s special day. Since there are not a lot of raised embellishments, this card is perfect for mailing.

I started with a base of white card stock that is edged in pine cone brown and bordered with the Antique Garden stamps set. The Happy Birthday medallion has a magnet that keeps this note card securely closed.

The lower portion of the card repeats the crochet and basket design and incorporates the cute little tree frog into the border. The gold detail repeats the edge of the top layer of the card.

Isn’t he cute? I just love that little frog! Anyway, what do you think? Comments are always welcome!
My next post will be about handmade boxes! Have a great day and visit often for more creative ideas.
