PDCC108 AND MORE CARD CHALLENGES

Happy Thursday to all of my blogging friends. Today is so special: it is my daughter’s birthday!!!!! Happy Birthday Gina!. I was supposed to be visiting her this week but since I broke my ankle, I could not make the trip. I am so bummed about not being with her today.  So, to help cheer me up, I have a card that I made before the accident but didn’t get a chance to share.

Dec25

This card is being entered in The Play Date Café Challenge PDCC108

I always love this challenge I guess because color challenges are so much fun to me.  The colors in the challenge this week are so warm and cozy, just perfect for Christmas!

My card is made with MME Lost and Found Christmas.  This is my favorite Christmas paper this year because the colors are muted, warm and so rich.  My Fiskar’s crimper got a change to get involved this week by crimping the top part of the card.  The MME embellishments and the paper on the lower half of the card have beautiful red glitter, and you all know that I love glitter!

Dec252

A red satin ribbon flower and pretty little Merry Christmas tag complete this card.  The tag is made using Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Merry Christmas Peg and the Deer Forest Stamp set.

These are all of the card challenges for this card:

Play Date Café Challenge PDCC108: Maroon...Copper...Tumeric

Heart Song Inspirations: Challenge #25 - Gold or Glitter

2 Sister’s Challenge Blog Challenge #65 Anything Goes

Complete instructions are listed below, so if you want all the details, please scroll down.

I hope you like my card and will leave comments before you leave! Thanks for stopping by….

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Cut all paper
  2. Use Big Shot and Sizzix Sizzlit circles to make the circles for the tag.
  3. Use RST;s Merry Christmas Peg and the Deer Forest Stamp set on white circle
  4. Adhere 2 deep red half-pearls to tag.
  5. Adhere small circle to larger circle to complete tag.

  8. Attach red specialty ribbon across the panel where papers meet.

  10. Use the Crop-a-dile and attach 4 eyelets; one at each corner of chipboard
  11. Adhere MME December 25 embellishment to chipboard, centering in opening.
  12. Adhere MME half circle embellishment to top of panel
  13. Adhere chipboard square so that it overlaps the half circle and the bottom rests at the top of the red ribbon
  14. Make the red satin flower by running a stich down one side of the ribbon and pulling to gather ribbon into flower shape. Add half-pearl in center of flower.
  15. Attach flower and tag to card.
