TSTR, SCS, and MM….OH MY!

Hello crafty friends! I had so much fun making this card. My friend Judy Rozema is hosting the Technique Challenge this week at Splitcoaststampers and she chose backgrounds as the technique. Since I love making my own backgrounds, I knew this was going to be fun.  I couldn’t just do one technique because I couldn’t decide between the two so I did both of the ones I picked out and combined it with The Shabby Tea Room and Mojo Monday.  I like the results; what do you think?

The main background (on the base, circle (Spellbinders) and butterfly) was made using this Wax Paper Resist technique. The two smaller panels were made using the Grid technique. I love both of them and still cannot decide which I like the best.  The butterfly is from the Hero Arts stamp and die set (link below) and the sentiment is also Hero Arts. The white flowers are from Inspired by Stamping.  I think the flower with the green stamens came from Michaels.  ZVA pearl flourish, jute, lace (from Really Reasonable Ribbon) and pearls finish this off.

This is a close up of the two backgrounds.  I used Tim Holtz DI for all of the blending and stayed with neutral colors for The Shabby Tea Room challenge.

I’m not sure if you can see it in the picture but the white flowers are coated with Glossy Accents, then the other flower is adhered to the top and sprayed with gold Glimmer Mist.

I hope you enjoyed the card!
