Hello dear friends! I am SO excited to share some news today! I have been asked to become a member of the Cards in Envy design team! Sandy, thank you so much for adding me to the team!

My love of cards for Operation Write Home led me to the Cards in Envy challenge and I have enjoyed playing in them ever since. I am thrilled to be a part of this exciting team and look forward to sharing my cards with you!

This week’s challenge is Toes in the Sand! How appropriate for August with summer’s heat ratcheting up. I could really be happy sitting by the sea right now and here is the card that I made with that in mind:

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Aloha, Sea Shells, Mini Summer Trio), StampinUp! (Gorgeous Grunge); Copics; Enamel Dots)

The little strip of sea shell paper was made by merging lots of shell images and then printing. Although the images come pre-colored, I chose the outlines and colored with Copics.

Now it is time for you to join in the fun! Here is the link for you, just remember your card must be A2 (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) size card no thicker than 1/4".

Happy crafting everyone!

Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. Your card is spectacular too, in fact, I think I made a comment on facebook about it because I was so impressed. I think we are in the right place.

I love all the texture on your card, with the enamel dots and the burlap circle and the "visual texture" of the grunge stamps. After admiring your work as a frequent CIE challenge participant, it's great to have you on the Design Team now! :)

Wow... Loving all the elements and how clever to merge on the shell images to get the special design. The theme of course is my all time favorite.....beach, sand and surf!
