Happy Tuesday all my sweet friends! I hope you are all having a great week and getting into the Christmas spirit!
I have good news and bad news today. The good news is, my son helped me get my Christmas decorating done today!!! I am so happy it is done. It is hard for me to have to depend on someone to help me do something because I have always been very independent and get things done. My broken ankle is really putting a kink in my holiday plans so, hopefully the orthopedist will give me some good news on Thursday.
The bad news is, since I was busy decorating, I did not get this card into the PPA122-Celebrity Color Challenge as planned. It is going into the Mojo Monday MM218 challenge using the colors from the PPA challenge.
My extremely kind neighbor sent me a live Balsam wreath this week which I promptly decorated and hung on my front door. So this card is to thank him for sending the wreath…
…. and the LO is based on MM218
Once again, I have to thank Mary Fish for her wonderful video tutorial. It shows how to make this fantastic rosette. And, did you see that pretty strip behind the rosette? Here is a close up…
I didn’t get to use my peg stamps as much as I wanted to (I got in a bunch of new ones, so I will be doing a lot with them soon!) but the pretty design on the strip is from Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Azalea Terrace stamp set.
My sentiment is on some beautiful cardstock from DCWV’s The Mariposa matstack and matches perfectly with MME’s Paris & Co.
And this is a picture of my decorated wreath! So my Christmas decorations are done, my cards are almost complete, and all of my shopping is done. I just need to start wrapping gifts!
Complete instructions are listed below, so if you want all the details, please scroll down.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my card today and will leave comments before you leave! Thanks for stopping by….
