BACK IN BLACK AT CAS-UAL FRIDAYS

Hello again! This is my second post for today so please scroll down to see my first one.

I’m just popping in for a quick post before family movie time. I love the theme as CAS-ual Fridays this week…Back in Black.  This card is actually my second attempt for this challenge. The first one is below, but after finishing, I felt it was just too busy, alas, another attempt.

The base is a beautiful black shimmery cardstock that I embossed with a Cuttlebug border embossing folder and then scored on the top and bottom of the embossing.  The square is a copper metallic cardstock punched with a Martha Stewart Stamp Anywhere punch and  then punched the corners punched with a ticket punch. The sentiment is Spellbinders stamped with a Rubber Stamp Tapestry sentiment and bordered with an Inspired by Stamping stamp. The leaves are punched out and colored with a Gel Pen. The flower is from AC Moore.

This was the first card I made using the Black Magic technique.  I love the card, but for the challenge, I thought the stamp was too busy. The reindeer is from AC Moore and NOEL is from Rubber Stamp Tapestry.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

THIS CARD QUALIFIES FOR:

CAS-ual Fridays CFC62

I also made this card for:
Mynnette’s Spread the L-O-V-E challenge:

Both cards are stunning Ellen but I thin for the challenge I prefer the first one. I love this less is more type card, only wish I could do it - I end up putting everything but the kitchen sink on mine! LOL. Seriously though, the first card is so striking...A x
