It is time for another Less Is More challenge and this week it is a theme – Oval. We are to create a clean and simple card with an oval.
I really am happy that I have been trying to learn more about CAS cardmaking, because I find it very difficult. This is the second card I made for the challenge today, but the first one just did not turn out the way I had hoped. For this one, I cut the white panel slightly smaller than the card, used the Spellbinders Classic Oval to create the “window” and used a Martha Stewart border punch for the bottom edge. I used VersaMark and white embossing powder for the trees (a Heartfelt Creations stamp) and gold embossing powder for the stars from Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Dragonflies at Dusk set. The sentiment is from another HC set and was cut using SB Beaded Ovals. I also used the Classic Oval to cut out the trees and attached that directly to the card front. I then used foam tape to attach the white panel. The organza/silk ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I am always so happy to see that you have been to my blog.
Please leave comments so I know you were here!
hugs,
I am entering this card in Less Is More Week 85 Theme-Oval

This is just beautiful Ellen. Black and white is one of my favourite combinations and the touch of gold in the sky is perfect. I love the tree stamp, and the addition of the bow gives a very elegant look. Great job! xx
This looks really lovely Ellen.
I love the black and white.
Thanks so much
