MAY YOU BE BLESSED THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Hello to all my crafty friends. Before my card, I want to let you know this will be my last post running the challenges at Inkspirational. Mynnette and I have had a great time running the challenges this year, however we are both finding time in short supply and lots of demands in real life keeping us busy.

Never fear though! We are turning the reins over to a very capable DT member, Marina! I know she will have plenty of wonderful challenges for you and the fun will continue. And, maybe I’ll get a chance to play some!

I want to thank all of the DTs for their hard work and patience throughout the year. I could not ask for a better team! I also want to thank Mynnette for all of her hard work! She is just the sweetest friend who I know you all have come to love as I do. Also, I want to thank each and every one of you for your participation and support! We would not have a challenge blog without you, so please continue to support Inkspirational and give Marina a huge congratulations!

OK, let’s get to the fun stuff! Today is the fourth Wednesday of September so that means it is time for   Inkspirational’s Sketch Challenge #39!

I know you will want to see all the gorgeous creations from our DT so be sure to check out their cards at Inspirational to be inspired!  I took the sketch this week in a little different direction, so I hope you like it!

(A2; Stamps: Inspired by Stamping Christmas Greetings, Beautiful Ovals; Dies: Spellbinders; EP: Sparkle n Sprinkle Ice Rink; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

I decided to do a round card this week, although for some reason I always find them more challenging to do! The base is the largest Scalloped Circle die from SB and is attached to a circle base (without scallops). The lace and ribbon is from Really reasonable ribbon. I just attached a strip of tape to the top and bottom of the ribbon and attached the lace.

The scalloped oval is SB and is make from heavy duty aluminum foil. I ran the foil through my Xyron and then placed it on white paper. I then cut the foil/paper with the die. The top oval is heat embossed with Sparkle n Sprinkle Ice Rink EP and then stamped with a Christmas greeting from Inspired by Stamping. I hope you like!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Ellen! I will miss seeing your beautiful DT designs on Inkspirational. I too have been a little to busy to play very often. With my daughter's wedding only 3 months away, panic is beginning to set in. I will still follow you blog in hopes of seeing some great crafty goodness from time to time. Have a great day.

This is such a beautiful version of the sketch, Ellen! The combination of blues and metallics look fantastic, and it's such a decorative sentiment too!
