ZENTANGLE ART

Hi everyone! I have not been making as many cards since Operation Write Home shut down, and as a result, I have not been posting on my blog as much. Well that is about to change! I have been busy with art, but I haven’t been posting it!!! LOL I don’t know why. I just think I was a bit shy about showing something I was learning. So, to catch up, I’m going to post a couple of my Zentangle tiles each day.

Zentangle tiles are 3.5 x 3.5 squares of card stock that is used for Zentangle drawings. To learn more about this art style, I am using Beckah Krahula’s One Zentangle a Day book. These are my first two tiles from the first two lessons:

Patterns: Tipple, Static, Crescent Moon

Patterns: Fescue, Knight’s Bridge, Tipple, Nekton

Like I said, these are my first two tiles, so I have a lot to learn about patterns, strings and shading. There are so many beautiful examples on Pinterest and Facebook; I hope to one day be as good as the ones I see!

This drawing is done with a Micron pen and  graphite pencils.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Please take a second to let me you were here!

Enjoy creating!
Ellen
