Mojo Monday 209 Contest

Hello again to all my crafty friends. Today I am going to share a Christmas card with you that I designed for Mojo Monday’s 209 Challenge.

I just love the sketch for this week and decided to use it for my first Christmas card.  I used my new fantastic MME Lost and Found Christmas paper and one of my new Rubber Stamp Tapestry Christmas stamp sets.

For the ribbon, I used a technique called ruching which is just gathering the ribbon using a thread that you baste down the middle of the ribbon and pull to bunch up, or gather, the ribbon.  I used red satin ribbon for the ruching and for the double bow. It is finished with a MME embellishment from the Lost and Found Christmas collection.

The medallion is made using Spellbinders Beaded Oval die.  It is stamped with Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Cardinal Resting in Holly Set. Don’t you just adore how delicate this stamp set is? The edge of the oval is sponged in Burgundy VersaColor and then edged with red glitter. I love how it exactly matches the glitter in MME’s paper.  A baker’s doily is behind the sentiments and is sponged in Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink.

A few bits of bling finish this card.  They are all from MME Lost and Found Christmas collection.

I hope you like this card. Thanks for visiting and please leave comments!
