Hi crafty girls! Happy Monday to you! I can’t believe it, but we had a little snow last night! It was really pretty but it’s all gone now.
Today’s card was made using the Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge from last Wednesday…Wow, am I behind or what? It is also for Operation Write Home’s* color challenge green, blue & kraft/tan. And, yes. I am still making Mother’s Day cards for their challenge as well. More about that in a bit. Here is my card:
I used several Spellbinders to layer this card. The green one is embossed with Swiss Dots and edged in gold pen. The pretty little paper flowers I picked up at AC Moore in the wedding section.
The ribbon is white satin that I dyed to match using Distress Stain.
AROUND MY HOUSE
Like I said earlier, we had a little snow here last night. It was Joy’s first time seeing snow so it was a lot of fun watching her experience it.
It was only about 1/2 an inch and was all gone by noon. It must have sleeted on top of it because this morning it was really hard and crunchy. Joy (aka the Ice Princess) enjoyed eating it LOL. The white spots in the pictures are the snow, not problems with the photography.
Now for the challenges:
OWH Stars and Stamps Color Challenge GREEN, BLUE & KRAFT/TAN
In addition to these challenges, I made this card for:
Mynnette’s Spread the L-O-V-E challenge since this will be sent to our troops and will make it’s way home to a friend or loved one.
Operation Write Home’s* Mother’s Day Challenge:
*Operation Write Home: Supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I am always so happy to see that you have been to my blog. Please leave comments so I know you were here! Oh, if you are not a follower yet, would you please click follow?
