Hello crafty friends! I hope your weekend has been awesome! Mine has been C.O.L.D….ok maybe not for some, but for this Southern Girl, lower 20’s and into the 30’s with lots of wind is just too cold. I’m glad I had cards to make! Today you get to see my last three cards for Operation Write Home* Stars and Stamps Virtual Card Making Party.
First up, Challenge #11: Rainforest Color Challenge - This is a color challenge to use GREENS AND A SPLASH OF COLOR.
I’ll list all of the challenges later, for now…….here it is:
This card was a ton of fun to make! The base panel is white card stock that I stamped with Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Believe/Dream/Peace Designer Block Prints set. I used the leaf stamp for the base panel.
The green panel on the left is green card stock that I stamped with the same set from RST and just using the peg stamps.
This bow is my attempt at an “Andrea Ewen” bow . I love her style and her bows are always gorgeous. Purple is my splash of color so I added two purple roses. One was actually white so I inked it with Violet ink.
There is a better look at the leaf background and a pretty flourish.
The sentiment is printed on my printer.
Overall, I like this card. What do you think?
In addition to the OWH challenge, this card is also for:
Viva la Verve! February Week 2 and here is the sketch
Mynnette’s Spread the L-O-V-E challenge since this will be sent to our troops and will make it’s way home to a friend or loved one.
OWH Mother’s Day Challenge:
*Operation Write Home: Supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my card. Please let me know what you think of it!!
hugs,
Ellen

All that green with a pop of purple is amazing! LOVE all the bling you've put on this--the way you've used the sketch is awesome! :)
Outstandingly beautiful. Gorgeous shades of green.
Love the purple and green together, and I think you did a fab job with that Verve sketch!
