Hello again crafters! So this is my third post for today. If you missed the others click here and here to see them.
This is the last challenge in Operation Write Home’s* VCMP. It is Challenge #13: Embossing. I also used the Stars and Stamps sketch to make this card: Sketch Challenge #108.
I decided to try CAS again and went white-on-white:
The off-white paper is from Recollections and it has a shimmery finish to it. I used Cuttlebug embossing folders on each of the three strips. The white BG is scored using my scoring board, but I left the bottom right corner un-scored so I could stamp it.
The stamps are from Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s stamp set: Vintage Crochet. I only used the peg stamps from the set for this card. The “just for you” and “Mom” stamps are also from RST.
Does this heart look familiar? Yep it is the Hero Arts heart stamp. I heat embossed it and then cut it out. I decided I wanted it to look more like a piece of jewelry so I embossed it front and back a few more times….until I got it to look like I wanted it to.
I added a piece of ribbon, OH, almost forgot I used a corner shaper to round two corners and all done!

Ellen, that shimmery ivory paper is soooo pretty! I like how it's embossed, too.
Thanks for such nice comments about my daughter's recovery. Last year was so very difficult for all of us, especially her, and I'm relieved and grateful that she is where she is today!
