WHAT DO STAMP SCHOOL, VERVE, & SCS HAVE IN COMMON?

Why this card of course! Hi crafty girls! I hope your Tuesday has been beautiful and fun. I am suffering from withdrawal……I really wish I could talk to my son.  Yesterday was pretty good, but today has been sort of hard.  OMG!!!!! In the middle of writing this post, Grant called home! He sounds so tired, but is happy and satisfied with his decision. Mom is a happy camper now! I have heard his voice and for now I am satisfied that he is OK. Anywho!  Let’s talk crafting and have some fun!
This card is actually a Mother’s Day card, but the color combo makes it look sort of like a Christmas card.  Oh well, here it is:
VLVMar2012
The things I made on this card: The red crochet doily behind the Quinn Flourish, The crochet flowers and the red and white design on the to rectangle panels. For the panels, I used Rubber Stamp Tapestry’s Believe/Dream/Peace Designer Block Prints .  I ADORE these stamps for BG images. There are four stamps included in the set that make pretty backgrounds.

Here is a close-up of the doily, heart with pearls and rose, and Quinn flourish. If you are wondering about the label, it is Spellbinders Labels Eighteen with a Spellbinders Floral Doily Motif embossed into the center.

I don’t know. I like the design, but do you think it looks too much like Christmas?

In addition to these challenges, I made this card for:

What a beautiful card for Mother! I love all of your hand-crocheted elements and those vivid red colors! So sorry you're missing your son :( It's so hard to be a Mom sometimes.

So glad you heard from your son, Ellen! That must warm your heart enough to carry you for a little while. :)

I think a red Mom's Day card is fine. There's a woman I know from Splitcoaststampers who LOOOVES red, so there have got to be more like her!

This card is really beautiful, and I like how it pops right off the screen. Like your crocheted elements too, every time I see one, I go get my crochet hook...it inspires me to try...but sadly haven't managed to complete any crochet lately...
