Hi to all my blogging friends. I am so happy you chose to stop by to see my new creation for Operation Write Home*.
Rubber Stamp Tapestry has these incredible new stencils that I have been dying to play with for a few weeks now! They also have a set of concentric hearts that I just love and used for this card. You can see all of Susan’s new items at Rubber Stamp Tapestry by clicking here!
Here is a close-up of the detail. I’m sure my stenciling will get better with practice, but I think it turned out ok. I could not resist doing a Bluebird because I am seeing them all over the neighborhood.
The background technique is done using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a blending tool. Once finished I used water to create the spots in the ink to make it look more distressed. The pansy is one I made using one of Operation Write Home’s tutorials that you can see here. I need more practice to make mine as pretty as the ones in the tutorial, but I love making them!
The heart is a Sizzix Sizzlit and is stamped with a Rubber Stamp Tapestry sentiment. This simple card is then finished with a pretty ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some purple rhinestones.
NOW FOR THE CHALLENGES:
Make My Monday MMM - Week 46 Birds or Animals

I also made this card for:

Hi, Ellen!!! What a fabulous stenciled card! I don't do stenciling at all, and at first I thought you had stamped and then drawn on top of it, it looks that good!!! Thanks for joining us at MMM! :)
