INSPIRATIONAL DT CALL CARD #3

WooHoo…..Wednesday! Thank you for stopping by my little blog today.

I am still posting my cards for a new challenge blog called Inkspirational and Mynnette is holding a Design Team call to get it started. How exciting is that?  Each month there will be four challenges: CASE, Color, Photo, and Sketch and it starts in January 2013.  So here is my THIRD submission!

This challenge is a photo inspiration and I am combining it with the Operation Write Home Sunday Sketch Challenge #140. The border is a Martha Stewart border punch accented with red pearls.  The berries and sentiment are from Rubber Stamp Tapestry and the red flourish is from ZVA.  The gorgeous papers are Meadowlark from MME.

This is the inspiration photo:

When I saw this photo I instantly knew I had to use the Meadowlark paper, but wasn’t sure how to bring the berries into the design. The RST Cardinal Resting in Holly set has a berry stamp that was perfect, plus the red pearls and ZVA crystals add another layer of “berries”.

And this is the OWH sketch:

Hi Ellen,

What a lovely card -- so very pretty! I absolutely love how you've combined so many elements and techniques to create such a detailed card that still has such a strong focal point.

Good luck with your DT submission. And, thanks so much for playing along with this week's sketch challenge!
