It is SKETCH week at Inkspirational! I was truly inspired by all of the entries to our CASE Inspiration challenge last week. This week we have a fantastic sketch for you.
Do you ever feel like you get stuck on a particular color, or color combo? Lately, green has been my go-to color. This time, green and black just seemed perfect for this birthday card. It is another one that I will send to a deployed soldier so I wanted to make it more masculine. I used an embossing border at the bottom of the green panel using dots, which are repeated in the background and on the skinny little ribbon. The birthday sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

Ellen I love this colour combo and great for a 'guy' card. I love how the embossing matches the ribbon and the polka dots in the centre x
What a great masculine card Ellen - I love the green and black colour combo, very striking, and the embossing adds such fab texture!

Hi Ellen. I love green too and I think you've set it off beautifully with the black and the little spots of colour behind the sentiment. Great design.
Yes, I have been enjoying your green go-to colored cards lately...very uplifting. A deployed soldier will love getting this....I know "I" love it!
