For those of you who follow me, you know I have only started trying to perfect CAS this year. I love the CAS challenges because they really do challenge me to get out of my comfort zone. I had a blast making this card and I hope Chrissie finds it to be CAS enough for LIM!
(A2; Paper: Neenah (Solar White), American Crafts (Gold and Gold Glitter), Webster Pages (Botanical Christmas & Winter Fairy Tales); Stamps: Inspired by Stamping (All Year Wishes II), Hampton Art (Outlines); Die: Spellbinders (Oval); Embossing Powder: Inkadinkado (Red) Fibers: Crochet thread))
I decided to paper piece this tree and love the results! I stamped it a total of four times. I stamped the stars on the back of the AC Gold Glitter paper and fussy cut them. I fussy cut the tree panels and then fussy cut the tree itself. After gluing the panels on, I used the crochet thread and twirled five strands to make a garland to wrap around the tree. I used one strand of the same thread to attached the small star at the bottom. Last I added rhinestones. For the card, I cut the gold panel and the smaller white panel, used the SB to create the oval negative and embossed the sentiment in red. I attached the panels, popped up the tree with foam tape and then attached all to the card base using foam tape.
I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!
