Hello dear blogging friends!. Popping in with my Viva la Verve card for this week. This is the one for the VLV  January Week 1 sketch.

For some reason, when I saw this sketch, I thought of apples. I knew I had this digital set, so I first printed three apples in various sizes, colored them with Copics and then fussy cut them. Next, I digitally separated the leaf from the apple, copied it several times (resizing some of them) and then placed them to serve as my background. I printed the leaves and colored them and attached the three apples, using bits of foam tape behind the leaves.

I die cut the small circle and actually hand lettered that portion of the sentiment (it is part of the sentiment in the set, so you don’t have to hand letter it). I am learning hand lettering as part of my Bible Journaling and was happy to have a chance to practice on this card. I fussy cut the word “gratitude” and, after sponging the circle with green DI, I glued the last of the sentiment at an angle.  I hope you like the results!

Thanks for stopping by!
